another quesion about the 2.o update
« on: March 05, 2011, 10:44:49 AM »

like i said in the other form sorry i like asking alot of questions....
but any way when i updated him wasnt he suppose to go into a hatching stage again? like be reborn? he didnt do it when i updated him...
he was kinda hatching like for like 5 min..that sounds way to fast for a real hatching stage

i still think i did the update wrong. ive heard that a guy voice is suppose to say "done" at the end but i never heard it.

that and ive charged his battery like 3 or 4 times and hes still acting really funny. you know eating with nothing in his mouth and all.
loads with mood swings ect

did i do the update wrong?  should i downgrade him and then upgrade him again?

No, the OS2 update is only a brief hatching stage, nowhere near as long as the first hatching.  I think you did it right, especially as he's doing the 'Frere Jacques' song and other updated behaviours.  He sounds fine!  :D

I thought that the new 2.0 update was supose to reborn him

as quoted on pleoworld
"Personality Module 2.0 is such a comprehensive update that Pleo will "restart" as a hatchling following the update. So it really is your chance to experience a whole new Pleo. And have even more fun than the first time around."

lol i was kinda hoping he would restart since hes a used pleo. so i can mold him mysefl :(

SP please understand that any of the OS's 1.0, 1.0.2, 1.1, 2.0 all overwrite and completely remove the previous OS. Although Ugobe never told people that because they got attached to their little friends. He has restarted and you will get to shape his personality. Although in reality the original Pleo's didn't really have individual traits.

The reason for the short hatching phase is because people would have updated from 1.1 and Ugobe (or in this case Innvo) had to keep the illusion that the Pleo had been upgraded and not been completely reset.

I don't remember Sylvester having much of a hatching phase after installing OS2; it was very short, and he also chomps on food when there's nothing in his mouth. But if you watch closely, before this happens he will have put his head to the ground as if he's been grazing during a walkabout, so I've just got used to him doing this now. I think this behaviour is normal for OS2.
