Hi

I have just bought a Pleo and I'm allready starting to think it was a mistake! The pleo site is not working and I can't seem to find any places other to download this software.
Does anybody know an alternative site for downloading the software? I really hope it will kickstart the Pleo because now it's really not doing much...

Regards
Lars

Hi Las,
I have a copy of the lastest software on my laptop, if someone hasn't posted it by tomorrow I will post it as an attachment here.

Wow I can't even register my new Pleo on the website, it errors out 505.

Any possibility of someone posting the lifeos?

I was so excited to get this guy and the online community is a huge part of that. Any idea why Ugobe has dropped the ball? I sent them an email but it came back un-deliverable.

Hi Las Glad you found this forum. Ugobe has recently made a big move to Idaho and I really think they are just still trying to get everything back up to normal. Just taking a lot longer! Grin
Having a Pleo has been one of the most fun things that I've ever owned. I don't think yours will disappoint you  Does yours have the original program? One way to find out is to rub under your Pleo's chin to see if he serenades you. Smiley

Welcome Palmthechum. We are all waiting for the web site to return. In the mean time do you have a name for your Pleo? Smiley

I have the LifeOS files on my computer but cannot upload them to the forum due to the attachment size.  Please send me a PM with your email address in and I will send you the updater for SD card.

I do not have the USB updater program.

Haha I thank you!
I am indeed a scholar, not so sure about being a gentleman though! Smiley

With some intense google action I stumbled onto pleomalaysia.com

It's a fully functioning version of pleoworld.com with all links working, allowing me to register my new pleo and download the lastest lifeos.

Good luck!

There is also the Taiwanese site and the Italian site.  They are maintained by companies other than Ugobe.  When PleoWorld comes back up, you'll probably want to re-register there as well.   But we'll do the best to help out here  . . . Cheesy

I just hope I get my hands on the latest software and maybe that someone keeps working with the software because the time and problems with Pleo's website indicates to me that they are going out of business, fast....but it's a real shame! I would have loved for my Pleo to become more inteligent..

Palmthechum - when pleo first came out they had them programmed to go to sleep if there had been no interaction for I think 45 seconds.  Some ungodly short time.  this was to save battery power.  The update will change that so they will be more adventurous.

I know it's discouraging to see the problems with the Ugobe site.  But, hang in there Pleo is worth it and the people here will help answer as many questions as we can.

i agree with fancyfont if you take away all support from ugobe and extra skits etc you still have an amazing little buddy and if you put in the time to play, interact and let pleo explore the world around him you'll see many interesting behaviours. A great example is how for whatever reason my baxter grazes in the same place no matter where he wakes up.
