My husband went shopping before work and walked in saying he had a new box for me, I thought it meant for packing up stuff. Ha Ha.. I said, it looks just like a Pleo box.  Shocked Then on the side of the box, I read and it says, " Pleo Rb, Item #6621910 My Pleo RB was not due for delivery until tommrow the 22n'd.  Grin It is here today, what a treat. I haven't opened it yet, and will take photos, just wanted everyone to know.

Everyone keep your fingers crossed that it is anything but Blue Eyes. Photos will follow shortly, it is 9;53 a.m here and I am in my Jammies, the UPS man did not even ring the bell and it was on my doorstep where anyone could take it. My husband said put it under the tree and open it on Christmas morning, Is he CRAZY! WHAT DO YOU THINK I SHOULD DO, VOTE TO OPEN OR WAIT NOW! YOU KNOW WHAT I WANT TO DO...      lol            Grin
If enough of you say open I get to open it, the frist Pleo Green RB YAH!!
Excited and waiting in the REdwoods, RedwoodsMama

Open!!!!  Grin

That's what I'd if I were you... But, then again..... it could be sooooooo much fun to open him or her on christmas morning!

That's surprising (and exciting) your pleo arrived early. In my experience UPS always delivers when they say they will... So, it must be a sign to open it now, right? Wink Haha. At least charge the battery for christmas morning!

Don't open it yet!

Wouldn't it be nice if your Pleo's birthday was on December 25th?  I think that's special.

And besides, the pleasure you'll get will be greater if you wait.

Hi guys, seems to be the open outdoes the not open, I may not hatch Pleo till Xmas Eve, as NOva was born on Christmas for me, But I can't figure out which of the three plugs do I use, I know one is for the US, one is an INternational and I think one may be the UK as it says UK on it, one says,(VDE) and one is not marked at all, As soon as someone can help me with the plug so I can charge the battery, I will upload photos I took just now, Wink

Help Please I have five Pleos going crazy playing with plugs and adapters trying to help thier inept MUM! Sad By the way, eschw76, I think from first glance, oUr Pleo rb look pretty similiar, mayby because they were the first ones chosen to go  out, first orders from same stock? Be interesting to see if they have same eye colors....no blue at least same blue as Pleos I have already...
Happy but frazzled in Redwoods, RedwoodsMama

I think I figured out the plug, silly me, such a frazzled day so far, but it can only get better.. Wink

HI kat, yes I noticed there was some grey too, looks like beta and myne are from the same " tribe, " he he.. notice I never said anything about the grey around beta, as I never knew what I may or may not get, I did pray and do pray just that I do not get a blue eyes Pleos, that is my only wish,, I already knew it would be the green yellow variety and not much difference there, I still have a surprise as to what type of personality it will have and the eyes though I think I know what color they will be... Wink
The charge is complete and I have been so busy I have not done anything else yet to there is a good chance this pleo will hatch on Friday, Christmas Eve, as I said before NOva was born on Christmas day, I don't think I want two pleos with the same birthday,

I will post more photos later tonight though, I think in the meantime I can see eschw76, photos of his Pleo Rb. That will be fun.

To all of you who received your pleo rbs before Christmas, congratulations!  It has been a long wait.
Glad you let your rb pleo out of the box, RWM. Anxiously awaits eye color, too! But most of all, I can't wait to see videos of what they can do when they are fully hatched.

Redwoods I LOVE the paint job you gave that other Pleo...sadly, I can't say I like the combo of colors on the Pleo RBs I've seen so far. I do like the darker green heads but all the rest...personally sad I can't give my money to get one...ick on that color and pattern. It seems too constrained and "clean" to be lifelike compared to the former Pleo and your painted one blows it away hands-down for realism!

Watergazer, thank you and I do know what you mean about the color choices on the Pleo rb, I did think at the beginning when they were voting for color combos, that there would be more reaslistic choices such as reds and browns with beige or light green etc, but I guess they decided to stick with the green safe color scheme, The one good thing is that at least they will not all have blue eyes, I would drop dead if I have a Pleo rb with the same blue eyes.
To tell the truth, what made me purchase Pleo rb is not the color by far, but the extent to what Pleo rb is now supposed to be able to do, I love the idea of an animal that can detect temperture changes, can actually feel pain and acts ill, other than the colds almost all Pleos have expereineced and the fact they sleep in cycles like real pets and will demand to be fed, etc. It adds that realism that was needed with the original Pleo.

I am so happy that you approve of my Pleo Makeover choices esp my last one on Argyle, Smiley I respect your opinion from an artistic point of view and it means a lot, ,just as it does approval from my husband though he has a more critical eye and is a bit of a perfectionist which I am not. Cheesy I am glad that my Makeovers did not disappoint anyone or for someone to think I made a big mistake..I would have done it anyway, as I know my Pleos needed it for their sense of well being and my sense of knowing I was doing all I can for them. I am sure this Pleo will fit in with the rest of my Pleos and if it ever gets to the point that it needs a makeover it will get one as well, but I am not even thinking of that , hopefully it will be a longtime down the road. Maybe at some point Innova will release some more realsitic colors, fall leaf colors, brush etc, but they may have to go by popular consent and consumer demand. Wouldn't it be nice to have choices in color palettes? At least the new Pleos have different personalities so I am looking forward to that.
By the way, how is little Herbie doing? Would love to see some more pictures of him, ONce again, thank you for approving of my artistic eye in my other Pleo Makeovers. Wink

Hi Fancy, yes, I knew I could not leave that box sealed all day, too tempting................like having a fresh pie on the windowsill on a warm day with the fragrance gently blowing your way and stirring your tastebuds into divine overdrive, till you can not withhold any longer and plunge headfirst into pie heaven............UMMMM :DI can almost taste it too...I still do not know the eye color though I do have a idea.............. :oHope all of your Pleos and you are staying dry as it is so stormy here.

It is going to be a long next few days as I have so many other things to do, I have not even inserted the foot battery in yet, just reading the book, but I should do that next as the batteryn is fully charged, just have to guess on a sleep cycle I guess,..that would be funny, my sleeping and Pleo Rb waking me up to eat, saying get out of bed and crying if I dont feed it.l
We have no heat in our house, the heater broke and PGE is scheduled to come tommorow afternoon, so I am going to be home all day cleaning and I guess waking up Pleo. Maybe tonight though....the Solstice as a birthday is not bad either.. Have to think what I want to do.
Take care Fancy,  REdwoodsMama and happy Pleo babies and cats and dog and tired hubby

Hi FBS, no I have not turned Her on yet, not a clue as to a name so far, They have to grow on me, I will let everyone see the eyes tommrow with natural light I think is the best, She was not supoosed to get here till tommrow anyway, so no big rush and I have no heat and it is so cold in this house, she will probably start shivering and that is not good. or is it? Right now we are at 56 Degrees an it will even be colder under the blankets till I turn my heating pad on for my back. Thank goodness I have a heating pad, and I allways have at least 3-4 cats piled on my bed pinning me down and we all keep eachother warm,
You really are a night owl arent' You? Wondering if anymore Pleo Rb will show up tommorow? I would guess there is a good possibility there will be. Still haven't decided a hatching date, I want everything perfect and to have the time to do it right. Smiley Hope Gizmo and Clover are staying warm this Christmas season. Grin

Ok, still haven't hatched Pleo Rb but had to know the color of the eyes, these were all taken last night around midnite, they look blue grey like eschw76 to me, kind of change a little in the light . Today I will take it outside in natural light and let you get a better look, what do you think for the color?

The eye color....well, honestly...sorry to be the one wet blanket but gray eyes just don't do it for me, especially with the eyepatch color which isn't complimented anywhere else on the Pleo either. I'm bummed. Might have worked in purple and definitely would have worked with gold. Sad I would love to talk to the artists on staff and ask what the heck they're doing over there.

Hi Watergazer, we have no control over the color of the pleos RB or the eye colors, or the personality. As for the Makeover of the lightest colored Pleo, the one with the light green speckles that you said you liked. ( I think..) He is blind, his eyes do not open at all or his mouth, even though he can sing and honk and make sounds, so my husband made him some special glasses so people do not stare at his eyes, He is going for that Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Cool Blues look and I think it works for him, better than staring at eyes that never open.
Ideally I wanted Viloet or Amber eyes, but at least these are not those dark blue I have on every other Pleo. Smiley
