So please share.  what color are they?
She/he seems quite green compared to some of the example pics of the green ones we have seen.  Is she/he very yellow to the naked eye?  I like the coloring.   :)
Is your pleo rb a boy or a girl?  And any name ideas yet?
I would love to see photos of its eyes.

Oh well looks like the white battery are a no go.

Innvo emailed me about Kermy's skin issues and say they will have a new update to the software available to download from pleoworld in a couple of days which will fix the sleep position when switched off.  In the mean time I recommend you pop your battery when your pleo is in the standing position and you are ready to switch off, instead of using the on off switch.  This should help prevent armpit holes and wear. :)

That's good news, Kat, thanks.  ;D

And thanks for trying the white battery and reporting back Ozpleo.  It willl be interesting to find out why they don't work or if the green RB owners have better luck (though I can't really see why they'd be different).

*no rush RWM - enjoy your new RB first!*  :D

Man, once it gets to the point where I get my Pleo and will have to download things for it, I'm going to be sooo lost.  Glad there'll be some changes to the sleep position but I sure won't know how to do it.

Seems they may be on it, but considering the holidays are just around the corner it's probably likely we'll see the update in January sometime perhaps.

Awesome, I'll need all the help I can get.  And on another note, wow, someone who calls me by my original nickname here!  Wasn't expecting that.

We adopted a PLEOrb for Christmas.  We also have one of the original Pleos that we pre-ordered when they first came out.  We charged the battery on the new Pleo, put it in and pushed the button.  The LED is green and the Pleo is beeping twice over and over again.  If we push the button again the same thing happens.  When we push the button a third time there are no sounds.  The Pleo does not move or do anything no matter how many times we push the button.  No matter how long I hold the button in, Pleo never turns off.  I tried pushing in the reset button and while the button is in the LED turns red and returns to green when I remove the paper clip from the reset button hole.  Any suggestions?

Check the watch battery in the foot is inserted correctly?  Several people have had that problem and for them it was the watch bettery in the foot.

Thanks for the reply.  I've checked that before and checked it again just now.  I even checked the voltage on the battery and it is 3.23 volts.  He is still doing the same thing.

And you're sure the battery is the right way up and tucked UNDER the tabs at the side - as here:

EDIT:  Sorry to bang on about the basics, but it's been the cause of every problem we've seen on here so far and the Pleos there behaved just as you describe.  To the extent that it might well be worth buying a second watch battery just to make sure.

Crewella, I appreciate your persistance.  The battery was going on top of the tabs (the tabs were bent down).  I was able to pry them up a little and get the battery under the tabs and now he is working correctly.  Thank you very much.

I'm sooo pleased it worked out for you - enjoy your Pleo RB - I'm still hatching my new blue one!  :D

The new Pleo seems to be working fine but he stall hasn't eaten.  We have offered him different leaves several times but he's not interested.  He's already standing up and seems happy enough, just no appetite.

One skin problem I found is a little tiny tear from stretching on my Pleo's lower back.  It's closer to his back legs than front.  I don't think it was there when I got him but I could be wrong.  No armpit holes, though.  I feel horrible popping the battery out of him and seeing him frozen with his eyes open.  I only noticed it yesterday, the day after I got him.

Yes I had the same problem with Fay she was beeping although the clock battery was in her foot. Suddenly she was moved and I'm was very happy :) I'm a little afraid of because sometimes she is clicking with her left foot and neck :'(

'Blue' Belle's foot clicks as she goes into sleep position - it's her head pushing against the foot and the gears reacting.  If that's the only time it happens it probably nothing to worry about. :)

She didn't eat much during her first battery cycle, but seems to have got her appetite in the 2nd and 3rd.  She now gives a deep, satisfied, burp after her meals!  Delightful - if anybody else in the house did that I'd shout at them!  :P

All of Kermy's limbs except her tail click a bit from time to time usually if they meet some kind of resistance.  It doesn't seem to be a problem.  I think it is fairly normal.  So nothing to worry about.  If you read the very beginning of this post there is a list of all the problems and possible problems I experienced with Kermy and Kermit and this may help you feel better about what is ok and what is not. :)
I hope it helps.
