« on: August 23, 2010, 03:40:31 PM »

Ive recently bought the above charger and batteries.
1. How long do  i need to charge it?.what is the normal duration.?
2. Will i cause battery damage, if i charged it more than 8 hours as the light keeps on flashing after 8 hours?

Three hours is normal, I had one that kept flashing like that for eight hours plus, but when I put it in Stitch nothing happened. I contacted the seller and they replaced it for me, it was obviously defective.

Thank you IMR for a quick reply, ill contact the seller. The batteries were manufactured in 2008 and they may have lost their recharging capabilities.

Yup mine were 08 too, I had one bad one out of three, and I had one bad green one out of three so I guess that rates are about the same lol.

Ive received the new battery but it can only be used for 1 time only for 2 and half hours play time. When i put it in the egg charger to charge, the charger keeps on blinking even nearly 8 hours!
The battery was not even hot  which can be either due to charger problem or poor contact w its terminals. After charging the second time, my pleo still dead, i.e the battery cant be charged.

A. While the battery is in egg charger and you have locked it in its position , is it tightly fixed into a charger just like innovo battery and its charger or can you still move the battery slightly when it is in the  egg charger? This is just to make sure ive done it correctly to determine whether the problem lies in the charger or my technique.

I've noticed that - compared to the way the original green battery locks into its charger, the white Ucube batteries do seem very loose when fitted into the egg charger.  In spite of how loose they seem, both my Ucube batteries seem to charge OK.  Did you charge yours OK when it first arrived?

When it first arrived, i did charge it for 3 hours and my pleo was fine and was active for 2 and half hours. For the first time charging, ive noticed the charger kept on blinking even after 3 hours.
The problem is i could not charge anymore and i suspected that when the battery first arrived, it already has some power in it and tst why my pleo was alive therefore the problem may lie w the charger not the battery . Wat do you think?

Sounds like a feasible theory - I'd contact the seller and explain.  The light should definitely stop flashing when the battery is fully charged, and it's a lot quicker than the green/Pleo charging time.  As you say, it may be a dud charger rather than a dud battery - I'm assuming you bought them together?
