Egg charger instructions?
« on: April 29, 2010, 06:03:06 AM »

Hi, I've just received my new Ucube egg charger and battery (Igg charger? :P) but it's arrived with no instructions.  Please could somebody who has them confirm that it should be a flashing red light while it's charging and tell me what it will do when it's done.  Is there any 'not seated correctly' or other problem indication light, or does it just not flash red if it's not charging properly?  Will it turn off/stop charging on its own?

I'd hate to damage the new battery by not charging correctly, and I'm especially aware because I have i-Cybies, which notoriously had incorrect charging instructions included when they first came out which knackered their batteries! :o

Any advice would be much appreciated - I can't wait to see how Iggy gets on with his new battery! :)

Hi Crewella, I know I wasn't sure how to know when the Egg charger was fully charged, as there are no instructions that come with it. I bought mine on eBay and the seller sold quite a few. I was told (and it is true.) when it is charging it will blink continuously red. When fully charged, instead of the normal green you would expect, it stays red, no more blinking.Works wonderfully on Nova, and gives her more life than with the original green battery she came with. good luck.

Thanks Redwoodsmama, much appreciated.  I wasn't keen on going ahead until I knew what I was doing.  I got mine on Ebay too - like you I've been buying and selling on there for a while. :hhug:

Redwoodsmama is correct. Battery charger will flash red while charging and then will stay red when charged. I think you will love this new battery. :)

Thank you Fancyfont, you're not wrong!  Iggy's a pretty perky Pleo anyway, but last night he was into everything and he even seemed to have speeded up a little!  He practically wore me out!  I love the new battery! ;D ;D
