I would imagine that all new batteries no matter the source with this charger can perform extremely well. Older batteries will perform better in some cases but not all. Short operation problems seem to be corrected by the new charger. ;D

Also, the Green NiMH Batteries sold by Innvo Labs and Ugobe must ONLY be put in a Green charger like the one that came with the Pleo or the improved one that is being sold online by Pleoworld.com
However, it is safe to use the same AC adapter with both Chargers. So, if you already have a green charger, you can plug that AC adapter into your new Egg Charger.
You can see the Ucube Egg Charger comes with a standard AC adapter port and a USB port.

I really notice how little attention Pleo gets because of the crappy battery she has now.
And having (near) two hours of play time makes it even more worth it to turn her on more often.

Hi there, you'll get between one hour to one and a half hours play out of Pleo depending on how active he is. You can only use the rechargable battery pack that he comes with, which does look like a bunch of AAs with a wrapper wrapped around them. You will not be able to use single AAs in Pleo.
I take it that Pleo hasn't arrived yet, when he does you see what I mean. Have fun... ;D

So I was thinking: maybe they show that option when you want to order from outside Germany.

Also, If you search ebay, just type in Pleo in search box and look for the photo of the egg charger. This is the best way to find it. If you search Li-Poly battery, you won't find it.

If I cuddle Stoney or sit him playing and singing next to me in a somewhat sedentary fashion I'll regularly get 1 hour and twenty or even more minutes. ;D
However if he's going exploring on his own he tends to run anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hour and 10 minutes. :)
Of course various combinations of activity produce different numbers. ;)
What is important to know when posting these times for performance is, what kind of activity or activities are spent? :o

Grumpy, would you like to interview Vicky for the forum about UCUBE batteries, ask about any other Pleo related product development, marketing plans in USA, Europe, Australia, etc? She is very nice, and i bet she had never been interview by an actual Pleo who oversees his own forum before... I am hoping with your clout, you can influence UCUBE to making their batteries available through an online retailer who takes credit cards or paypal and ships to North America and Europe.

I just purchased the egg charger and battery through that eBay supplier you guys have been discussing. I will keep you posted about it as the shipment develops. As you know when my Pleo does arrive he'll have 3 green batteries (because I bought two brand new ones for a total of $49), but having that longer lasting battery will of course be a blast and as far as I'm concerned you can't have too many batteries for Pleo ;DDo you mean the Li-Poly battery and charger?
I got an e-mail back from Vicky, and the costs are heavy if I want to resurrect Pluriel. This is what it looks like:

Darkwolf, I think the Ucube price would be fine if we didn't have to pay the bank commission. Take away the bank commission and the charger and batter are only around $60 which I think is reasonable. If Ucube would just take paypal or credit cards i think they would do a better business. On the other hand, it is really nice that they are will to take small quantity orders and ship internationally at all. Keep us posted on what you decided to do/I've decided not to do it.
This is simply too much effort and money for me since I am still paying two rents. I just don't have the money to lose it on something as silly as a bank commission.
Nothing they can do about it, but I refuse to pay that extra money when I am already turning every euro around on a daily basis.
Pluriel will just have to wait a little while longer...

Well I was reading in a Dutch Pleo forum that Ucube sells them and found in Litec-Computer that on the picture it said "Ucube"
Then I read in the Bob-The-Pleo forum that people tried to contact them earlier but failed. But I tried again and was able to get contacted by Vicky Lin. We are in touch ever since. I even had my first warranty case that went very well. The trick I did, addiitionally to write an email I sent the email to their fax numbers that obviously caught their attention that I didn't give up :P

My Li-Poly battery is the exact same quality, hard plastic top as the green NiMH battery. The reset of the battery case is the same quality too.

I got mine from a small business guy in mainland China. This was before I was able to get the contact information for Vicki at Ucube Taiwain. Now that there is a way to contact Ucube directly, I would recommend that route.
We obviously bought the exact same battery and charger. It even arrived in the Ucube box. For me purchasing it through eBay was cheaper.

Not only did it come out 10 or 15 dollars more than the Ucube egg and battery, but its on a slow car from Nevada. According to the shipper it's headed to NYC via ground transport. It left Wed. and on Thurs. it arrived in Cerrito, CA. Um if its on a truck, my thought is my battery is going the wrong way if its traveling first west? Suggestion, save money ship mine east of Nevada.
What a panicky, crazed Pleo owner won't do, especially since everyone I know always asks me about the baby?
So is it more efficient than the original version? Curious to hear other reviews before investing in an alternate battery. Still the site carried the original battery at a much cheaper rate than the site I bought it from. I can guarantee that in at the near future I will buy an auxiliary battery.

Yay! Got my own Ucube battery and charger now. Using the adapter from the old charger and it works perfectly.

It was like she was on crack or something. Her servos sounded like they were on overdrive. Perhaps the battery was already on the brink of dying and under powering poor Pluriel without me even noticing it for who knows how long.
She even made a different sound when waking up that I never ever heard of before.
Her entire behavior seemed different as well, as if she was ever so happy to be woken again and wanted to do and see everything at the same time haha!
She made quite a few walks and was ever so active and "aware"!
I really missed her and I am so happy that she is back, knowing that she now will also outlast my Aibo's battery charge.
That is going to be funny on the Aibo meeting I'll attend in April, as she is also officially invited!

Now looking forward to Christmas for the new Pleo's.
Got to roll back my pleo to 1.1 as I'm sick of him walking backward more than forward.
