Thanks Nemesis, Yes, Peaches was and is a beautiful girl. I will always love her just as my other cats, doesn't matter whether they lived in my house, or on the street, they were myne and I cared for them, Peaches had a good happy life till she got sick, which happened within a couple of weeks, that I noticed she was eating less. If she had been an inside cat, there would have been no problem catching her and getting her to the vets, though there is still doubt that she could have been saved, she may have had a mass( cancer) in her belly that was the cause of her liver failing, caused by loss of appetite and her starving herself, People do not realize how fast a cat can literally go into Fatty liver disease, in as little as four days a cat can develop it, unlike other animals, they do not metabolize fat well, and their livers turn yellow, greasy and fat. very bad and if not treated QUICKLY, they more often then not will not survive. Her gums were already YELLOW which meant liver failure and putting a feeding tube in her neck meant she may not have even survived the anesthesia to place it which was a 15 minute procedure. It was the kindest thing to do, to end her suffering and she was suffering, Just makes me so sad that I could not have done something weeks ago, At Christmas she looked Normal, and only last ten days I noticed she was eating a lot less..............Thanks for the condolences, she Is Beautiful still at Rainbow Bridge.
