My big boy, my rescue cat Karl Kat is not feeling well at all. He is suffering from a very painful mouth and it is all too evident by looking at his face you can see he pain he is in. He goes in Monday morning for mouth surgery to remove the last of his teeth, his canines. Steroids do not control his stomatitis any longer and this is his last chance to get rid of the terrible pain from Stomatitis. It breaks my heart to see him suffer like this, and he is still a young cat.  :(

Thank you so much Crewella, from one cat lover to another, I know you love cats and know these are my fur babies and mean as much to me as a child could..I hate to see them suffer and it had me in tears this morning when I dropped him off for surgery. I felt like I was deserting him and there is allways that terrible fear that something "will go wrong". More than anything I want him to know I love him and want to take away the pain. He is in surgery now, and hopefully they can get all his teeth and cure this painful condition...or make it better. Thanks for thinking of him ,...fingers crossed for a positive outcome today...Hugs from both of us to you.

Thanks guys, he had a hard time and vet had a difficult time getting bottom "fang" out but three teeth were extracted, and the one fang left, was left for fear of breaking the jaw. It was not infected, and the vet cleaned and deep scaled it. Tongue very bad but hopefully with infection cleaned, anitbiiotic shots X2 ( long acting) and long acting pain injection he will start perking up . He has had a rough time but is glad to be home. It was either this or he would starve to death and have to be euthanized so many of these cats with Stomatits die simply from starvation, that is how bad their mouths feel, poor babies. Thanks for all the well wishes and kind thoughts yesterday and this morning.

Glad to hear he's home, and hope he does bounce back to health after the op and the antibiotics. :)
