This pic is to show what screws are needed to attach the backplate.  Six short screws, five long screws and the central one with the washer type head.  Two short screws - one either side of the neck, one short screw under the sensor foil, and three in the black central plate.  The five long screws go in the various deep holes around the edge of the white back plate.

You should be able to put those on one side, RWM, and eliminate them temporarily from the puzzle.  The round black plastic ring piece and the round white plastic piece are also part of that central assembly.
