 Here is a great closeup so you can see Charlotte up close she really is pretty. I was told she is called, a Pumpkin Spider, which is appropriate for this time of year. She has yellow and black on her legs and is about 2 inches in diameter, but who is measuring to be exact? :o NOt Me. I got her a meal a couple of weeks ago, after flea combing my cats, I picked several fleas, threw them out the window , and wished them good luck, fair Karma for being on my cats....Some got away, but some did not and Charlotte thanked me with a wave of a hairy leg and wink of her eye! ;)


 Doesnt she have a beautiful web?

Cool pic! I had one of these on my front porch earlier this fall but it is now far too cold and it is no longer there. I had meant to get a picture too but missed my chance; they make amazing large webs.

Greatshot of this spider! Looks like this guy/gal could eat quite a few fleas for one meal.

Actually we have at least three other of these spiders in our yard, close to berry bushes, but this one is special and the only one I watch every day and have named, Also the only one I feed!
