Bubbles is 2 days old and he seems to "go to sleep" after about 10 minutes of activity.  It's very disconcerting!  He'll wake up after 10 minutes or so after getting but will only make a little "errp" sounds over and over and one little motion and freeze or put his little head down.  Sometimes he'll close his eyes and sometimes not.   When we take his battery out and recharge it, he comes back to life for about 10 minutes then falls into the same pattern.  Does he have a battery problem?  how long should his battery last?

pleos take little naps, especially when they are new. you can wake them up. It might be that you aren't really interacting with it, so it gets bored and goes to sleep.

Next time your Pleo falls asleep try shaking Bubbles gently and see if you get a response, if you are not getting any response at all make sure you are charging the battery correctly. There should be two clicks when you seat the battery (try pushing the front down first). Did the battery take four hours to charge when you first charged it? And you should be getting an hour to and hour and a half on a good battery.

If the battery didn't charge for four hours the first time, if your Pleo is not responding at all after falling asleep (even if you hang Bubbles by the tail) then it is likely that yup sadly you may have a bad battery.

I think we do have a bad battery - the family is very distressed!  He's so wonderful for the few mins that he's with us!  How can I get a new battery when the Pleoworld website is not accessible?   Do you all have "back up batteries"?   Any recommendations? Thank you!!!
