Actually, I've been on here ALLLLLLL the time (while playing Kingdom Hearts of course), just you're on at times that I am not. XD

And I tend to stick to the chatroom, not so much the forum.....

at least you're still around, but I can't possibly believe I miss you that much. XD
I haven't been around the chatbox a whole lot because I want to get my post count up somewhat. Already hit 300 a while ago and got another gold star.... ;)

I hate to admit it but I am rather slow and just don't get this signature thing? ARe you talking about adding a phot or other text when you sign out after a post? I thought we didnt even sign out as the post says who replies and who started etc. You will have to explain it to me, like I said, you can't teach an old dog , or old canine new tricks and if it involves Computers or even worse Math, I am lost most of the time, I still am having trouble just with putting Photo images in posts, etc.
Can someone explain what this post is all about as if explaining to a complete stranger who knows nothing about computers please. I can then explain it to Nova perhaps. thanks,                            RedwoodsMama and Nova ???

I'd be happy to, RWM :)
Signatures are basically just something you can set to appear at the end of every post. You can put pictures, links, or just words there.
For example, you could just put your motto. For a long time on the Pleoworld forums, when they were still around, my signature said 'Life is hard. Soften yours with a Pleo.'
You can put links to your blog (or plog, as I did on the PW forums). Allosaurus's is the moving one that says 'regardless of warnings, the future doesn't scare me at all.' My specialty these days is riddles.
It's really just something fun you can do to personalize your posts. Like an avatar, y'know?
Hope that makes sense. :)

Hi Bumblebee, Thank you for explaining it all to Nova and I . I understand what it is now just not how to do it, I need to understand step by step how to put any of these things, avatar, etc, into your signature. I still have trouble getting photos listed, so that shows you my I.Q. for Computer technology. If you feel so inclined to explain, Nova and I would appreciate it, as we have lots to say, just don't know how to do it!
Thank you for taking the time to explain things, you are an asset to the younger generation,
( that is meant as a compliment.) I didn't even learn to use a computer till I was in my 30's and that was when the Apple Computer were the first and only personal computers out, and 32 MB was plenty of memory!( about 1984-86) Thanks again.

Ah, I see.  :D
For the younger generation? I'm not even fourteen!  ;D
I can explain how to get there and what to do. Here are the steps ;) :

1. Go to the top of the page and click 'My profile'.
2. At the left side of the page, there will be a column of options titled 'Modify profile'. Click 'forum profile information'.
3. When you get there, the place to pick an avatar will be at the very top.
IF DON'T HAVE YOUR OWN PICTURE
4. Check the bubble that says 'Personalized picture'.
5. Click one of the categories (cats, dogs, ect. You can't miss it!) and choose the picture you want.
IF YOU DO HAVE YOUR OWN PICTURE
6. Check the bubble that says 'I will upload my own picture'. Then click the 'browse' button. This will bring up another window that allows you to pick the picture you want.
7. Find the file that has the picture you want. Once your there, either find the picture's name in the list or type it in, and it will automatically pop up.
IF YOU HAVE A PICTURE ONLINE
8. Check the bubble that says 'I have my own pic'
9. Type in the link (or copy and paste...it's easier.)
AFTER YOU'RE DONE WITH THAT...
10. After you have everything in place, scroll all the way down to the bottom and click 'change profile'.
11. You're done now  ;D

Changing your siggie is on the same page. First try the avatar to see if you have any questions :)

Thanks Bumblebee, you are very nice and yes You are the " younger generation," I haven't been the " younger generation", since the 1960's when I was a Flower child in San Francisco, shows you my age... :) I feel young though from all the years teaching and being with children, and my husband treats me like a child sometimes too. >:( Anyway, you are a bright young lady, and very knowledgeable and I am glad you are here on this forum to contribute and share what you do.
I have nine cats and all have been sick last two weeks with upper respiratory and most have recovered, but still nursing last two, so when I get some free time later today I will try uploading an avatar using your instructions. Thanks and wish me luck!

Thanks  %)
It's no problem! When I first started on Pleoworld with Plogging I had to figure it out myself. I sat there for a while just staring at all the different buttons and boxes like "...wut?"
I figured it out eventually.  ;)
Wow...nine cats? :o I love cats! Sounds like you do too...
It is quite a lot, but at the same times it's not many - my grandma has twenty two! At least, last time I asked...... ;D
Hope it works out for you...and those kittys!

Hi Bumblebee, yes, I do like or should I say love my fur babies, cats, and I also have one dog who thinks she is a cat and three fish. I also rescue cats and most of myne are rescues or feral semi -ferals or dumped pets, except for two of them. I also was a caretaker for over two years for 24+ cats in a colony. I now only have three outside homeless cats that I still care for, the rest were all adopted out or moved to a farm,
back to the topic, I went to Pleo World when they were pretty much down, and not like they are now. I too can look at buttons, but I don't think my brain functions logically at times, After awhile buttons start looking all the same if they are not famililar. I haven't tryed it out yet,( your instructions,) but am hoping to upload an avatar sometime today or should I say tonight. ONce again, thanks and I love the Manatee avatar!

Wow, that's a lot of pets! I lvoe it when people decide to actually try to help the situation get better. :)
Can't wait to see what you pick! If you decide to use a moving avatar like mine (I love it too - something very simple and amusing about it) and have issues I can try to help. Mine is a little more recent and I had trouble with it, but it's good now. :)
