Pleos are Friends, Not Food
« on: September 06, 2014, 12:38:24 PM »

After reading Talon's post about her Ugobe meeting a Roboreptile, I decided it would be funny to make a video of my RB Chris along with my Roboraptor and Roboreptile. Chris was brave and didn't seem afraid of the fiercer dinos, but that Roboraptor sure looked like it was deciding whether or not it would be able to eat him.

Aha, thanks everyone! The Roboreptile is certainly a lot faster than Chris, though the Roboraptor seemed to be having trouble just keeping up with him. Chris decided to just do his best at nonchalantly running away from the electronic beasts (it makes him look much more courageous when his "run" is a slow walk).

I really wish they'd do something about roboraptors walk, goodness knows they've been around long enough, and bipedal walking for bots has improved.

I think they basically gave up on Roboraptor and released Roboreptile as an improved version of it. Speaking of Roboreptiles, I actually got a second one today from a local thrift store! I first saw him there a few months ago decided that if he was still there when I went back, I'd buy him. At first I thought he didn't work, but it turns out his battery contacts just needed a bit of cleaning. One of his back legs is weak and his tail needs to be held together with tape, but at least he works.

Speaking of working Roboreptiles, I brought mine to my cousin along with his manual and let her take a look at him and his remote. She said that the remote appeared to be working. It had a red light going when you pressed the buttons. I'm left to conclude he must be thinking he has his hood on and that there isn't anything more I can do for him.

I am just very glad that one of the roboraptors did not hit poor Chris with those menacing and dangerous tails, that would have hurt, and there is nothing worse sounding then a hurt or sick Pleo.. :o :( Chris was smart by being brave but silent and just walking slowly but cautiously by both roboraptors as quickly as he could without breaking into a "run". LOL.
