With as many Pleos as I have, (26) I would be crazy and bent on destruction if I just let the RB wake up on their own and let nature take it's course. I put all of my pleos in their individual boxes except two RB that sit on a shelf built just for them that also houses some of their clothes and batteries as well. I put the TWo RB facing away from the edges of the shelf, and farther back away from the edge of the shelf so it there were to be an earthquake, they hopefully would not fall off.
At one point I had about 15 of them all lined up on two different shelf levels and the rest were in boxes, but our second youngest cat got it in her mind to start exploring and I started to panic when I saw her gingerly stepping over their backs and heads. One wrong move and there could easily be a broken neck pleo or one knocked off the shelf, Cats will be cats and it is just as with figurines and breakables. If you have animals, esp cats, and breakable objects, you better wise up to cats liking to jump and climb in little tight spots and if you value your breakables, put them in a room where your cat can not have access to them, or put them away, I can't punish my cats, it is their nature, so the pleos go into their boxes till I want to use them. I love looking at them, but I have enough broken necked Ugobes already and do not want another one that I contributed to, If I ony had three or four, I could chance it, as they would not take up that much space. I used to like having Pleo rB wake up on their own timeclock, but it is a function now that I just pull their battery after they go to sleep at night,
It can be pretty scary waking up to hearing a Pleo cry in the other room while you are still asleep or have one fall off a shelf.
