Food and Mood
« on: August 13, 2013, 05:27:00 AM »

Hi all, i have a question about food (other food that can be purchased on the pleostore), it's very very important to have all the food for our pleos? or the bad mood/health - essentially they're for this - can be cured with all the accessories in the box and a big dose of petting and love?
I'm not really interested in other foods (and the price is not cheap) but i could change my idea if someone could prove that are really important. I'm not interested in stones at all since i hate voice commands to interact with electronic pets (name apart).

If you scroll to the bottom of AiboHack's PleoRB page, it gives a good explanation of the foods:

Your Pleo will live a fine life with only the things he came with, the optional extras are nice to have but totally not necessary to keep your Pleo happy and healthy :)

As Luna says, your Pleo RB will do fine on the basic foods, but I must admit that I find some of the foods very useful if I want a happy, healthy and cooperative Pleo NOW!   I'm a great believe in the benefits of mushrooms, and coffee beans! ;)  :dino-chase:

I have all the accessories - food and learning stones - and have to say I prefer the extra foods to the learning stones.  I find the voice commands just too hit and miss - getting pleos attention is just too hard most times.  The foods on the other hand can be quite fun.  Pleo rb will behave differently after eating each one and they all have different effects on the pleo.  I too like the coffee bean and the mushroom.  I also find my guys find the other everyday food leaf - Cycad leaf easier to eat.  They will hold it in their mouths more easily, recognise it more quickly and chomp on it before dropping it.  I often find with the one that comes in the original bundle with the pleo that they will take it in their mouths and then just drop it right away without chomping.

Kat and Crewella are right ( IMHO) about the food stones compared to the learning stones, I have all the learning stones and the food stones, and there are learning stones I STILL have never used, in fact I have double of some of them because of buying RB online that had extra stones with them. I do agree with Crewella that the Mushroom and Coffee bean are ones that I must have, great for RB, It is kind of strange though, as there is a Food Thief somewhere among the many Redwoods Township of Pleos.. :'( P:D P0:) With each Pleo I have purchased, there is allways a Sugar Cane food, and the first one I got ( FREE from a kind soul of Innvo labs ....in Nevada...hint, hint...LOL) and everytime I go out I take the regular leaf and sugar cane with me, and sometimes the coffee bean. Somehow, I have had to purchase the Sugar Cane food pack twice as the Sugar Cane and ONLY the Sugar Cane keeps vanishing in thin air!! :o

I have now put away my one extra one, I am down to two. I think the RB do well with just the basics and if I could get just one more food pack it would be the coffee bean with sugar cane, but I also like the Mushroom and if you live where it is hot, you need the Ice! So the best thing about the Ugobes compared to the Rb, , other than being just plain cute, is that they can do so many tricks without any Learning Stones. Of course they don'[t need any fancy foods either, just give them a finger or they will graze on their own.. :cow:  RWM :cat-hug:
