Pleo locked after downgrade- Help me please
« on: August 07, 2013, 02:52:57 AM »

Hello everyone,
Yesterday I downloaded the various firmware Pleo (the old of UGOBE) on this forum.
I had the 2.0 version that I did not like. I first installed the demo version, and it worked fine. Then I decided to move to the 1.0 software but my Pleo, just inserted the sd card issued only one sound, lowered tail type bow down and you are no longer moved. I tried to reinstall the 1.0 and then also the 1.1 and 2.0 but again nothing stands still without any sound.
The battery is always at the top
Could be what happened and how I can unlock it, it is no longer under warranty and also the UGOBE no longer exists. Who can I contact? Please help me

Download the POP OS file (or patch) to reset everything in your Pleo's memory, then install the 1.0.2 and wait for Pleo verses, dont remove the SD card from the slot waiting for his awakening.
You can find the patch file and the OS 1.0.2 in the Download section of the forum.

Good Luck!

Grazie Junkroxy, ma sei italiano come me?
Luckly I solved the problem. Write it in such a way that it can be of help to other users.
I charged the battery to the maximum, by unplugging the charger and inserting it back every time until the green led not appear immediately. Then I added another 2 gb sd memory instead of the 8-obviously formatted and loaded the 1.0 firmware. After several minutes of loading came back to life and I have to say that the 1.0 is a really good version, with more ancestral sounds wild but realistic, finally also walks forward :-)

Glad you were able to get him going again :)
It is important to note for anyone with a Ugobe pleo that they do not seem to like large SD cards so it is always better to go with a small one - as small as you can get, preferably 2gig or less.

Thank you.
I agree on the capacity of the card, small is better.
I love my Pleo.
Can I ask  which is the best firmware for Ugobe Pleo?
In addition there 'is no remedy for skin demage?  can i replace or better to buy a dress?

You can use rubbur safe glue for small repairs and silicon for larger repairs, or you have the option of shipping to Innvo labs and paying for a new skin, but you will find it costs more than a brand new Pleo.

Ciao Sofy, sė italianissimo :D

For Pleo's Skin: Go for glue for rubber and silicon for big holes, tears. You can 'wash' the skin with a damp cloth and use vinylex to make it more softly and protected.
