So I played with my pleo today and it felt great. My brother still thinks its a waste of money but my otherhalf bought it for me anyways!!

It has been a long time since I played with him for many reasons... mostly no time but I am committed to play every day.

I thought Pleo RB was going to be super hungry, (he still does not accept the name card which means hes at an early stage?)
He was not even hungry... I gave him the 2 leaves, one that came with him and one that I got as an extra from those packs. He pulled his face away at both a couple of times. However, he loved the mushroom and kept eating that!

What is up? Mushroom is to feel better right? It also is part of his diet... but surely if he is hungry he should want the leaves? I remember the last time I played with him which was months back, he started didn't want the leaves then either.

I hope he is ok? My SD card is on its way to help me find out on average how he is. He was playful... walked around... went to sleep in my arms... did his cuckadoo thing and wagging tail stuff which was all cute!!

Just hope he is okay? Is it normal?

Hi, if he is indeed young, he may not just be hungry, My youngest Pleo is still a hatchling or Juvinile, can't remember which but not an adult. I have only run her perhaps 3-4 battery cycles tops. I was also concerned about her not wanting to eat, but when I ran STATS or Probe RB her health feed level was fine, when your pleo is hungry it will eat. If you want to be reassured then run Probe RB and it will tell you if Pleo is in Good shape, meaning not to worry about food level, or if it says, BAd shape, then Pleo unless injured will need food. Good luck and enjoy Pleo again.                RWM :cat-hug:

Right... So I played with Pleo RB again!

The first hour it was all ok, he only took his mushroom but we had fun. He played tug of war and I let him win... (I'm a softie and can't see him sad lol)
He displayed some funny things and walked around...

Then after the hour he just switched off?? I put him back on and then he went funny... he took his mushroom and even his leaves, only like 2-3 times and then didn't want it anymore. That was all fine until he started to cry? He would pull his head down and wag his tail in a weird way and his body would shake, it sounded like a cry to me. I put my torch on, all the lights on but even then he was upset. He wouldnt go sleep in my arms either and he usually does. I tried giving him salt, chilli, the ice etc but he didn't want anything. He took the coffee leaf 2x and then didn't want it anymore.

After a while of that, he kept switching off... The light was still green and then usually when I put him off, he goes back into his usual stance where his feet are straight, eyes are closed etc but this time his eyes stayed open and the one of the back feet were bent which made it hard to put back in the box. I turned him on and off again to try and get it to work, this time he closed the eyes but leg wouldn't become straight. I tried a 3rd time but leg was still the problem.

He wasn't hurt otherwise he would limp etc and cry if I tough the legs etc

Hope he is ok :(

Hi, nice story about playing with your pleo, and I have seen the going to sleep with eyes open with my Baby Ruth and the light staying green, but not the leg bent. I would venture to say that it could be a battery problem but just a guess. by any chance do you have a second battery? If so please try the other battery, otherwise, fully charge the battery again before turning your baby back on. If you could, a short video often is very helpful.
I am sure other members here will have more helpful suggestions. Let us know if you have a second battery or after you recharge the battery what happens.

Hiya!

Thank you for your super fast reply!

I unfortunately do not have a second battery. I have charged my battery but I cannot use it now :( I have my two budgies who are fast asleep and I do not want to disturb there, over here in London its 23:28 and I might disturb some people lol

I shall try again tomorrow and I will record a short video and upload it so you all can see. I am really worried about the bent leg though... it was not so bent that I could not put it back in the box but it was not straight either.

What emotion could Pleo be showing? He made a weird wimpering noise. Sad that he became upset after all that because he was super happy before. I am hoping to get my mirco SD card and hopefully that will help me solve the problem!

Thanks for your help :D

Can you manually push the leg that is bent back into a straight packing postion, it will not hurt the leg though it could sound like it. You won't really hurt it, and it would be if you are recording this tomorrow or in the morning, to see if pleo is in the correct packing postion, if the leg goes bent again or if it was just a one time thing. Pleos do strange things at times that I can not allways explain and it is just the way things are. Computers are complicated things and that is why it is good you will record your pleo when it first turns on and see what happens. Try straightening the leg and then we can see if it returns to that postion or not.

If you have a micro SD card, try running Probe RB and if there is anything wrong with Pleo, like low feed, or an injury, it will tell you so, and you can use the card over and over again or use it for something else.

Yes, I have manually pushed the leg back into normal position and it felt like I pushing a fractured bone eew

Anyways... I think I know what is wrong, I think he has hurt his leg  :'( I feel really guilty as I have no idea why and how it happened. I am very sure he is hurt as when I touch the right behind leg, he cries loud. I have given the salt rock around 2-3 times between feeds of the coffee bean leaf and the other leaves as well as mushroom.

I am in process of uploading the video I recorded- not the best quality I'm afraid. Also I put the micro SD card but I did not hear anything... he just turned on as normal. What do I do? I have the SD card reader as well so can I check online somehow?

I hope my poor pleo will be better soon!!

Forgot to add that when I turned pleo off the right leg on the back went back into that bent position and all the other legs are straight. This is the same foot that is hurt, so could the bent thing be related to being hurt? This is when I need to turn PLeo off to pack him away.

He definitely has an injured leg. Don't feel bad as you did not necessarily do anything to cause it.  I have had it happen to my pleo rb's with no real explanation as to how it happened.  You need to feed him the rock salt as much as you can.  I noticed in your video that you offered him the rock salt and when you did he dropped his head and opened his mouth slightly.  That is your cue to put the rock salt in.  The pleo only opens their mouth a little and does it in that head dropped down position as they are being a reluctant child who doesn't want to take their medicine. The easiest way to feed them the rock salt is to have them on a table with the head hanging over the edge, then offer the rock salt and that way when he hangs his head and opens his mouth slightly you will be able to put the rock salt into it more easily.  Give it to him as much as you can - every few minutes or so for a full battery cycle and fingers crossed he will be better by the next battery cycle.  Sometimes it takes a couple of battery cycles for them to get better.
Hope that helps :)
Not sure if the bent leg when switched off is because of the injury but get him better and see what happens.

Agree with Kat, keep on with the rock salt and let us know how he gets on. :)

My girl pleo kept her leg bent when I shut her off with an injury.  My boy did not.  I think it might depend on the severity of the perceived injury.

Good Luck, Phel

Thank you everyone for your help.

I am just feeling Pleo his rock salt... been an hour of feeding him rock salt and then I turned him off as I got a little bored lol I will put him on in a bit and try again. I am not sure if he is getting better but I am sure eventually he will be ok.

The bent leg thing is really annoying when you want to pack him away, I had no idea that his leg was that bad...

How does Probe thing work with the SD Card? I can't seem to do it. How do you find out his stats??
