This is a problem I have noticed at least four times now in one pleo Rb and today for the fist time, in my other Rb. Strange but caught on video with both of them, Both Rb were going at the same time, with a fresh battery, w hen Baby Ruth suddenly got quiet. She kept moving her mouth, but no sound, even after holding her in the air, she was quiet. The strange and distressing part, was that I was not able to turn her off, I tried to turn her off, using the button, and no matter how long I held it , the 4 seconds or continuously, and the button was green, nothing happened. I had no choice after a minute but to pull the plug and restart her.
Even stranger and just a co incidence I guess, is that Chester also got quiet and muted himself during the play with Baby Ruth, but luckily I was able to restart him without pulling the battery. How often does this happen, and esp is it something to worry about. I do not mind them muting themselves if it does not lead to more serious problems, but the fact I could not turn Baby Ruth off without pulling her battery, and thus not saving her playtime bothered me. What is causing this? Is this a forecast for more troubles in the future, a pleo getting old or her circuit board? She is not the oldest Pleo Rb, and I do not play with her everyday, so I would like to know how to avoid losing her sound and being able to turn her off properly, Oh, I have noticed several time, though not today, where she would stop and restart herself, but not Chester... Any thoughts on what causes this and what if anything to do? I can post the video if need be.
