hey, i was thinking about how some of the bobthepleo comic characters had their own profile, and was thinking maybe i could delete my profle, and start a new one as my pleo, nyan. i would tell everything from her point of view, unless something comes up that i cannot respond with her point of view, in that case, i will start the post with OOCP
(out of character post) i thought it would be a fun thing to do, to hear the way a pleo may see things. i dont know if i can delete my profle, and i am pretty sure multiple profiles would be against the rules, so this would be my one and only profile, i would change my location, etc. to weedovia. i dont think this will be against the rules, i dont see why it would, so after rwm, crewella, imr, kat, lunamoine, fancy font, mweed, or other forum member who has been on for while replies with their opinion i will pm any members who i have been having a conversation with and either delete my profile and start the new one or if i need mweedto delete/block my account for me i will start a new one and not log on until mweed replies saying its been deleted XD

I also would like the opinion of everyone other member here, don't be afraidto give your opinion, im still irbyma, ugobe's may eat your finger, but i won't!!!

I think it sounds like a fun thought, but as IMR suggested, if a few of us even did this it could get pretty confusing. It takes me awhile to remember who everyone is, and who their Pleos are, their personalities, etc, and even what part of the continent they are from, so I do not need to get anymore confused then I already am...
               Can you imagine how confusing it could be if for example I gave some of my Pleos their own account...anyone with more than even one pleo is going to be overwhelmed after awhile and it may take a bit to remember who said what.I do like IMR's suggestion about having a comment from Nyan, saying what Nyan thinks about any particular situation.. Ok, I have a bad foot from my fall last night and it hurts so bad that is about all the posting I can take but I wanted you to get more feedback as you asked.                               RWM

Most of the Bob the Pleo character accounts are actually set up to help manage the forums.  Grumpy gets to be the admin so mweed can actually participate in the forums as a member.  Sally acts as the librarian because we needed a separate account to manage the attachments and media files that are part of the library (new feature not yet rolled out ).  Bob has his own account because he threatened to bite my leg if I didn't set him up with one . . . 

But IMR's suggestion is probably the best idea.  It allows you to have fun and pretend to be nyan and still let's people know who you are.  You can always just have nyan sneak onto your computer and make posts while you're not looking.... some pleos are bad that way.  They can have rather active online lives that us simple humans aren't even aware of.

And besides, if you started a new account, you'd loose all the status you've built up!  You'd loose those two gold stars and it would set you back a couple of months at least!   Now, you can always feel free to update your profile data to reflect nyan's personality.  I checked, most of your profile is pretty blank....

I made my pleo a facebook account before, it was so much fun to see things from Rango's point of view!  Unfortunately, facebook closed Rango's account because Rango wasn't a real person
I've seen pleo blogs and diaries before, that's actually what inspired me to get a pleo of my very own! It's amazing how much more you want to play with your pleo just by reading fun little tidbits of their daily life. It almost seems as if it brings you closer to them, it's a kind of way to bond with your pleo.

Maybe we could try getting some sort of sub forum started on here where people make topics and everybody only posts from their pleos point of view? that way you won't have to keep two separate accounts, you just share one with your pleo. If not, you could always make some sort of blog on another site and create a topic on here where you talk about it.
I don't think it would be a good idea for people to have "pleo only" accounts. It would be alright for the regular forum users, but not for the people who come online once in a blue moon to get help with something. Those people want direct answers from the people who take care of pleo, not a pleos advice on how much it hurts to snap a neck cable.

I was going to suggest something like this..Sophie has her own FB profile, but that was mostly just a way for me to post robot pictures without feeling weird to my 'unenlightened' family/friends, not to mention an excellent way to play FarmVille. =)

If you were successful in creating your Facebook account for Nyan without getting it removed by the administers, then you could post as much as you'd like from their point of view, and perhaps could create a sub-forum/topic on here and link the two..? That may work (if it would be allowed).

I know very, very, very little about blogging, but I am quite certain there has to be free ones out there that you could create a profile, add photos, post, etc...I'm sure that could also work. And again, if permissible, you could link them to here.

Lastly, this may or may not be related, I am almost certain I have read before that either Pleo RB or a particular software allows Pleo to post digitally what he/she is experiencing directly online. Am I right? Perhaps it was an Aibo...who knows, but merely a suggestion, if it does work.

I had a pleo blog on what I think was the original Ugobe website, but all that seems to be gone sadly....I think I had all my waiting, unboxing and first impressions as I first interacted with him, and I so wish I still had access to all that. I have no idea how many laptops ago all that was so I have no idea where any of that info is, if I even bothered to save it anywhere else

I do have a blog linked in my signature for my little doll TiGGy, usually its updated every day with something zany, but I keep falling behind lately with RL - and trying to have all 3 Lego calendars going - Yipes! Much easier when I am just randomly finding something to post.

I only use one account on any forum, but frequently TiGGy posts in response to something - so basically I just add a picture thats relevant to the topic and have the commentary as TiGGs would respond in the post itself. it works just fine, and saves all the confusion of multiple accounts and somehow Firefly lingo evolved when we all first got our FFs, not everyone uses it, but many of us just enjoy puns and silliness, so we like to play with language through them, I imagine that would work really well with Pleo too.

Usually I just post myself to things, and add a picture at the end with TiGGy's commentary on something, its a hoot to do, and just adds to the enjoyment for many of us.

I really enjoy it when people have blogs for their particular interests, so I think you should try creating  a blog, its really fun and a nice place to have a record of ones experiences via something one enjoys. On blogger I also am able to use "shared book.com" and either have hardcover, softcover or just downloadable PDFs, which have proved invaluable for reference as much of TiGGys blog is being rebuilt when my former picture server apparently just disappeared one day - DaNGs!
