Hi Everyone, I am extremely new to this forum, and RWM has been doing an awesome job trying to help me orient and get my precious Ugobe Pleo up and running again. I have always loved robots, and have made a few kit robots, and own a fair amount of robots, including some wonderful beam ones,  will list them later.

I seem to have a very tiny mailbox and no way of seeing my sent messages, so if anyone can help me try to increase my mailbox size and see the sent mail that would be awesome, because I am not sure all my mail is actually going anywhere. (couldn't find the help topic on this sorry!)

I followed the original Ugobe release with incredible enthusiasm for months before we were finally able to order, and my husband proudly displayed the little Xmas card of our pleo. I had a thread on the original Ugobe forums where I tried to document my early days with my pleo, but his name and all of that seems to be lost now.

I utterly paniced and bought up every battery I could find on ebay at inSANE prices when Ugobe the company crashed, and then was afraid to use them up, so now poor Pleo is dormant, and I have a bunch of really expensive useless plastic green batteries which only have my charger flash green, but don't charge. RWM is helping save my little one, so I have a new charger and TWO of these wonderful new batteries coming, so I am so hoping my little Pleo will live again.

He has been in his soft leather small animal zipper crate with windows, his play blanket, original software cord, charger, batteries, leaf, 256K card and cord adaptor, but I don't believe I ever updated him, or figured out how to, although I did visit what I believe were the earlier Bob the Pleo forums along the way, but this one didn't recognize my email, which has remained unchanged, so I am thinking that somehow I just never got here - But Luckily I was on Bob's newsletter, so I found my way here!

I have watched many of your video's, and really enjoy what a wonderful group you are. I also am the proud new owner of a Teal Rain Cloud Furby Thanks to the shamelessly enthusiastic enabling here, and my thus far inability to get a coveted Aibo - ooooh someday!

I will be on here asking alot of utter newb questions till I get better at finding my way around.

I wandered out of robotics and into BJDs a few years back "Ball Jointed Dolls" so I have a little doll blog with my favorite sidekick and muse TiGGy, she has a rather extensive robot collection herself, and is Stomping away impatient for me to get Pleo up and running, as she also likes to ride exotic pretty much everything.

Wweellccoommee!! You seem like such an enthusiastic character!! Try finding one of the Innvo Labs charging cradles...they have a 16 hour deep-conditioning switch. I suppose you could consider it as a refurbishing option for your older batteries. I will find out today if my 16 hour conditioning worked for me...

Aw Jeez - Hi and Thank You Everyone!!!!

You cannot imagine how happy I am to have found you all, and YoU are the ones that are so Enthusiastic and Fun! RedwoodsMama has been incredibly helpful as I built up my courage to finally post, somehow new forums are always confusing for me to navigate for awhile - and I am admin on a BJD forum - Resin Cafe! So you would think I would know a bit more about how the heck to navigate and find stuff - But I DiD find and am ordering the Egg Charger and a spare battery.

Little TiGGy is a GID resin ball jointed doll called a "Firefly Fairy" her sculpt is "Fidelia". Tiggy looms large in my life thanks to a zany and close knit bunch of kindred spirits on Resin Cafe, most of us also own "Firefly Fairy's" but many just join in on all the zany fun, jokes and creative projects for them. We are somewhat atypical "doll lovers" as many of us weren't even into dolls until we acquired FFs (Firefly's) which somehow managed to inspire a very diverse bunch of humor loving individuals to become a community for going on over 3 years now. We have created a sort of following and love for these whacky little darlings, and more are finally in production - Hopefully!

Firefly Fairy BJDs were originally created by Charles Stephan of Charles Creature Cabinet, and there are three sculpts "Fidelia, Fuuga, and Vampire Fidelia" all three glow green, blue and neon green respectively. I think they are 11cms tall, which means they are easy to carry along in an eyeglasses case, and therefore there are many zany adventures they end up on amidst our Real Lives.

One other FF guardian also has a Pleo! I just found this out and hers started right up, but mine being such an early Ugobe and so long carefully preserved, I guess I just waited too long trying to preserve what I thought were the last of the batteries....So I am really hoping my little Pleo will be happily playing with all of yours soon - with TiGGy riding of Course LOL!

I do not believe this causes any ill effects. I personally prefer the Ucube (gray egg) battery/charger. I've noticed it lasts a lot long, and I may be mistaken, but I think it charges sooner than the original green ones...

And I think it would be hard to tell about your charging cradle/cord..I would believe the only to test that out would be with a working battery/cradle/cord and switch between the two to figure out what exactly isn't working right. I have a hunch though, it may just be a faulty battery problem.

I have also been a collector of bjds in four years. I don't have a firefly but i admire them i think they are some of the cutest tinies <3

Welcome!  I hope to see lots of pictures ofbyour Ugobe once he's awoken from his nice long nap!  I bet you just be so excited to see his little happy dinosaur face again!  Also those dolls look beutiful!  I'm a fan of stuffed animals and plushies myself and I collect and make them with quite a lot of enthusiasm!  It's great to have another Pleo owner in our midst!

Wow, Thanks so Very Much for being so Welcoming! I have had my computer on this page for days, but have been working on a series of swap presents - Firefly Fairy swaps are fairly Epic, so TiGGy's swap partner was for an Elfdoll Alice Cherry Blossom, and I haven't made stuff for these in ages, so it took me forEver!

I was under House Arrest from Ofc. TiGGs until I got everything made LOL!

In the meantime RWM has our Pleo batteries enroute, so I am really hopeful TiGGy will soon be riding our Pleo, makes me nuts I can't remember his original name! I really hope you all are right and our Pleo will work again, I was so mesmerized by Pleo that I just got too careful after Ugobe went under and didn't realize by not using the batteries at all, I probably just wasted them.

Yes I am one of the people who panicked and bought all sorts of ebay green ones when ugobe went under - and where those are I have no idea......?!

In the meantime you all got me Hooked on Furby! I have the cloud one thats teal and gray and I Freakin love it! Will post over in the Furby thread about it more later

For now we are just on battery watch, waiting for the egg charger and new batteries to come RWM was really sweet and charged one battery already so when it comes will just pop it in and Hope!

I wish I could get an RB, but does anyone know if its possible to reprogram or not have it recognize day/night? Most of my playtime is at night so it would sooo suck if Pleo couldn't play at nite because of the sensor - does anyone know if its possible to bypass this somehow?

I think my Pleo might be on original programming, but am hoping to just have his feet able to step higher. Not sure I want to upgrade to what version. Way back when we were told that we could only use 256K memory cards, so thats what I have. But I have noticed that the boards seem to be referring to 2G cards - am wondering if that will now work in the old Ugobe Pleos?

Sooo Glad there is another BJD lover on here that knows of FF's - You already realize how NuTs we are!  Did you know that more are finally being manufactured? If you like I will keep you updated on that!

Does anyone know if there is a way to buy more mailbox space? Mine is nearly full and I can't seem to find where to ask about this

HI, no problem with playing with a RB at night, The built in clock sensor that goes into their foot is what is called the "clock" function. You set the clock when it is noon your time, then Pleo rb will sleep approx from 10:00 pm till 8:00 in the morning . Of course Pleo rb is owned worldwide by many people that also work at late hours and are more apt to play with Pleo rb in nightime hours. You for example, if wanted to play with Pleo Rb from 9:00 pm till about 3:00 am, then you would adjust the noon clock accordingly, Just figure a 14 hr cycle that pleo rb is awake, The closer he or she is to their "bedtime" they will be less active. So for a pleo Rb to be active while you can interact you may want to set their bedtime at 5:00 am, and then their Wake up time would be about 3:00 pm. with noon time being about 7;00 am. Of course Pleo does not have to be on, or awake at this time, but you need to be able to set their noon clock at 7:00 am, for it to work, It sounds complicated but it really is not. The most important thing to remember if you are playing at night ,is to make sure you do so in a well lit room because Pleo Rb does recognize day and night and is actually afraid of the dark. There is a patch for this that is free and you can find it here on this site.

               It simply means if you are playing at night, do so in a very very well lit room or Pleo will not only be afraid but be getting sleepy thinking it dark and if you want to teach Pleo tricks later, they need to be in a good state of mind and happy. IMR has very good videos that are here that explain all this , just ask her where to read the info. Enjoy your Pleo that has been asleep first and get reaquainted with all the wonders of Ugobe. I have 25 Pleos and 22 of them are Ugobes, 3 are Pleo Rb and one is probably close to being a 2009 Innvo model or something similiar. I have a very special spot for my Ugobes, they got the Pleo bug started and I guess you could say I was "bitten" bad,,,but it is okl.
