Hello, new here, new owner
« on: November 30, 2012, 02:46:46 AM »

Hi, my daughter just bought a Ugobe Pleo 2nd hand on ebay. Of course the battery is not really holding a charge, Dizzy wakes up, plays for 30 seconds then goes to sleep.  P|-) Should I persevere with recharging the battery a few times? I have emailed Innova Labs about new  batteries (they say they don't routinely ship to the UK) but I see 'egg chargers' on ebay? Would they be a better option?  :dino-chase:

Sorry for so many questions we are really excited and for the brief time he's awake Dizzy is very cute   P:)

I apologise, I see lots of people rate the egg chargers as really good (in other threads) - I just want to check I'm getting the best thing for Dizzy  :-\

Egg chargers and batteries are the way to go for sure.  You can find them on ebay but there is also a store here on the forum that sells them.  It is called Nova's Necessities Just look in the stores tab at the top of the page and you should find it.   :)

Thank you! I've ordered from ebay as it seemed a wee bit cheaper  than from the US. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the welcome. Dizzy was awake for an hour last night. But he's lazy again this morning. He is adorable.

congrats! i got my nyan the same way, and unfortunately, her battery went kapoot. i got an egg charger from redwoodsmama, she is the BEST place to get one, gives a discount to members, also sells them on ebay!!!! so instead of staring at my off pleo, i get to turn her on!!! so i am now a dinowrangler  :dino-chase: if you private message her, she will respond within a day, unless she is sick  :'(  she will also undoubtedly answer this thread. she is very, very nice, even includes an extra item! have fun with the best 'toy' you (or your daughter) will ever own! ohh, as a sidenote, you should check out their bobthepleo comic, been here half a year and just found out about it!  :moose-xmas: :arrow-head:
XP, so many members deserve cudos! XD
okay, one smilie for all of you!

Yes, Dizzy! RedwoodsMama is the way to go. I adopted two pleos from her and both of them are using the egg batteries and they're much more reliable than the old dying Ugobe ones.
