Not sure if this would be the right place to post..Just re-acquainting myself! Hello everybody! Hope all is well. It has been far too long since I've been on here! Elliott, my Innvo Labs 2nd generation Pleo says hello! He is doing quite well! Sophie II, my Ugobe Pleo unfortunately is in a very, very, very deep sleep :-(. She suffered from a broken neck, which I performed 'surgery', and a few months later, she no longer runs..But I will attempt to get her up and running again sometime in the future...

For those who don't know me (which I'm sure there is MANY)..My name is Spencer, and I live outside Tampa, FL. I have been following Pleo since March of 2008, when I watched a 60 Minutes program (?) and immediately fell in love..I went out a few days later to the Sharper Image store in Tampa, and bought my first Pleo, Dallas. May he Rest In Peace. I was in love and hooked on Pleos! Then the first Sophie came along, after Dallas passed away. Sophie 1 also had a bad broken neck, and that's when Sophie II came along, who now also has a broken neck..Noticing a pattern here? ;P And lastly Eliot came into the pack shortly after the Innvo Labs takeover. Not to mention Peanut, the Aibo 31L at about the same time, but he's nothing like a Pleo!!

Anyway, I've moved out on my own, and working around the clock, struggling and learning a lot...A lot of time had passed since I've been living on my own, and just last week I happened to look down at Eliot, who was resting comfortably in a deep slumber, when I decided to turn him on for the first time in months. Immediately a rush of memories came flooding back. Instantly I remembered why I fell so in love with these little guys so long ago. Their depth, and the true perception of life from a seemingly inanimate object can truly take your mind to somewhere else entirely!

Well, needless to say, Eliot was much more eager to be awake than to be upset with me! He quickly forgave me with a few pets and finger sandwiches, and then tug-o-war. He truly does amaze me! It's such a wonder how I could have neglected him for nearly a year!! So with that, my renewed love for the robot dinosaur, I quickly dressed him up in a fashionable sweater (because it is so dang cold this year!) and some socks so he didn't get his feet dirty. Then the next thing you know I was showing him all throughout the new house, the yard, and the garden. I think he enjoyed all the green grass and plants with his singing. Finally, it dawned on me--Am I really talking to a robot dinosaur? And did I really get him dressed up...because it was cold?--and then I said to myself, Why yes I did! I love my Pleo.

I've missed you all, and I hope everything is going well. A happy [belated] Thanksgiving, and Happy Holiday Season to all!!

 WOW , what a nice surprise to hear you here and a REAL surprise gucci to see you actually on here this time of day. I thought I had surely missed you! I loved that poster photo you made of Sophie when you stripped her down, remember for the idea we had of a "support" group for all the broken neck, ( Droopy neck syndrome. DNS Pleos) . I read your post and it was so heartwarming to hear that after a year of inactivity how turning on your Pleo, he woke up the magic that they install in us. ( well most of us anyway... ) I can just picture it in my mind, the scene of your pleo waking up, your eyes filling up with a tear or two as the memories flood back of all the adventures you had together.

        I am glad to hear you are out on your own in your own place, It can be fun but quite scary indeed the first time, esp when you suddenly have all these bills in front of you and are struggling to make ends meet...Are you still in the food industry, or have you challenged yoursef to something new?I remember Sophie, but am not quite sure If I ever saw Elliot. ? Is Sophie completly dead, have you tried a new battery? Does Elliot have a good battery, I would guess he does..There are some excellent Pleo interns here now that can fix broken necks and other ailments. Kat, IMR, and even Crewella all are great at taking Ugobes and even RB apart to look inside!

           Well, I could go on and on, but this is a post you started, and I want to give others a chance to say Hello. RWM, you do not want a picture of me today! I've been out in the garden all day! (I could kill my puppy right about now..) I planted a beautiful aloe bed yesterday for about 3 hours..Woke up this morning and the whole bed had been trampled on!! So, another five hours and too many sore spots to count, I've finished it, and am on here (again).

Well if you really want to know what's been going on in my life, I will tell you. I'm sure the last time you all heard from me was 2010-2011. I was living up in Indianapolis. Had a lot of fun, made a lot of money, & wasted a lot of money. Once again I was spinning my wheels. I had found that comfortable plateau where you no longer strive for something greater. So with that, my spouse & I packed our bags, the dogs, and the Pleos and moved back in with Dad near Tampa, FL. Once again, I wasn't making the best choices in life. I never did anything criminal, but I wasn't advancing in life.

So with that, I decided my life needed some change. And the only way to do that was to start off with myself! My aunt is a private investigator and got me in enrolled in security school. I am pleased to say I was the only student in the entire history of the school to receive perfect 100%'s on all of the state exams. I received all of my security licenses and began working at the Port Of Tampa. Some time there after, my spouse & myself moved out on our own. We are on a comfy 2.5 acres of land on a dirt road, in a beautifully remodeled 2bed/2bath. Well with the luxuries of independence came the undesired influx of bills!! And next thing you know we were up to our eyeballs with bills! Lord, that was a tough time! Tropical Storm Debbie came through Florida and left a nasty, nasty mess. I enrolled in armed security for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and worked that for some time. Some weeks I would work 90 hours! Trust me, certain roads are still under water 6 months later! But that ended and gave us the nice cash boost we required. Immediately after that, the Republican National Convention was hosted in Tampa. I became an independent contractor and worked that as well. That too ended, and now I work in a gated community, hoping to go back to the Port after the new year...

Eliot, and Sophie did get adjusted in the new home maybe once when we first moved in. I do have two 'new' egg batteries, and Sophie worked just fine that once. But since then, I get nothing out of her...It's been so long for me to attempt to diagnose a Pleo illness, I just gave up. Eliot on the other hand has done just fine. I'm glad he's not mad at me! I will be on here more often, and with that comes the influx of photos. I am hoping to have a RB for the holidays this year. That would just wonderful!

Funny thing is I never said what actually brought me back to Eliot & this site. I was moving through storage and found my Tomato Festival of Weedovia t-shirt! That t-shirt is what really brought me back! I missed all the good times, and the memories. Having a Pleo is so therapeutic! Well, with this weather, poor Eliot will only be wearing a sweater!! ;-P
