Really cute!  But I don't know about the lit tail.  Made in Korea, understands 100 words, (hopefully not just Korean,) and due out this fall.  We'll see. ???

Two of the Aibo forum members own one...I will be meeting one in August at the Aibo meet I have arranged. Apparently they are not as intelligent or advanced as Aibo, but have lots of nice features....good sensors...voice recognition etc...but only understand Korean at present :(

Genibo costs £1300 plus shipping from Korea.

Its nice to know that there are other alternatives to aibos out there but it there doesnt appear to be anything availible that actually meets its standards and ablilities which is a shame

That indeed is a shame.
But it would already help if it keeps being developed and updated.
Perhaps it will be ready for a EU/US introduction with English speech recognition some day.
The economy will probably hold that idea back for a while to come though.
Oh well! :)

A couple of people I know bought a Genibo from Bruce Lee... he is very helpful and will answer any questions you have. I'm going to wait until I meet one in August until I decide if I will buy one. I will have tp post a review! Will take photos and videos of the little guy. He is going to be popular at the meeting!!! :)
