Hi, irbyma! It looks as though IMR has you covered but if you're still curious I can share what I know about Aibo. There are a few Aibo owners here on the forum and I'm sure we all are open to answering your questions.

I brought a Pleo Rb and then shortly after got myself an Aibo 210 I dont think Pleo are Aibo are alike because they have different personalities and think/move in different ways. Aibo IS a robot, and loves to show off that it is a robot. Pleo is an imitation of a living thing and so has certain limitations (Aibo moves faster and is better at turning, but Pleo is more cuddly and in ways more enjoyable to interact with) but I love them both! I would certainly find it difficult to choose only one based on my experiences with both now.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Aibo is an "entertainment robot" pleo is designed to be a "life form" or a robot designed to act and move like a real animal with needs and drives and an evolving personality.
