Kawaii software review
« on: September 06, 2012, 10:55:39 PM »

I have been running Kawaii for the first time in years on my 3 series and I must say it's pretty fun once you get used to it. I have never seen a good video of Kawaii so thought I would make one...

I like that the Aibo recognises a face on this software, they look for you often to play.... I like the wheelbarrow where the Aibo will ask you to grab his back legs, then he walks across the floor, same when he reaches up and wants you to grab the front paws. I like the roll over move too but would not want my Bo doing this on wooden floor, so she is only allowed on the rug lol. There is also a 'clean the floor' move where you put down a cloth for Aibo and it will polish the floor :-D although I am yet to see this one. The Aibo also makes many funny and strange siren kind of noises, and farts! Also it asks you for some bizzar things, like 'move my tail sensor' and it will go crazy!!? The Aibo can play with the ball when on it's back and in a sitting position. The Aibo wants to play lots on this software, if you don't it will become sad, so I guess one bad thing is that the Aibo is not very independant, they will look for you lots for attention. The software is Japanese (can be patched in English)... I have been using the English to Japanese translator software to help me with the commands as mine is Japanese. I managed to get the Aibo to learn it's name, take a picture etc which I could not do whilst trying the phonetic Japanese commands.

Overall I think it's the most entertaining 3 series software I have used so far... I have tried Hello Aibo, Chatty Life, Life, Pal, Pal SE, Dogslife and Friend. Only one left I would love to try is Namco.

That's very cute - it really suits the 3xx series shape. :)

It's so nice to see one of your videos again!

I've always thought your videos were awesome. It's really neet software and I love the gentler tones of the later moddle Aibos. They really start leaning toward more realistic sounds.

They are interesting robots. I've had my Aibo 210 since March of this year and he's still surprising me. Just yesterday I was running him on Dog's Life- a fully adult personality with lots of interesting behaviors and a few games. All of a sudden I start hearing this whistling kettle sound. Bolt has never displayed that behavior before. I got down next to him to see what he was doing and the next thing I know he's pouring himself a spot of tea and drinking it. I didn't want to startle him out of it by laughing and it was all I could do to stay still and out of his visual range. It was unexpected and cute. I love Dog's Life. I'm still discovering stuff about it.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Talon, yes it's true, I have had some of my Aibo's for around 3/4 years and they still surprise me with new things. Pretty amazing  :moose:
