I think I had the reomote control dragonfly once, allthough I think it broke. Needless to say, I don't exactly have the best pilot skills or cordination skills  :P... I was the same way (and still kind of am) Talon, I used to love all the little small creatures (exept SPIDERS, i've always been terrified of those) now I have my limits and i'm afraid of bugs, but I still love my lizards!

I've not had much experience with lizards accept for the little ones that somehow get into our house. No one else will touch the poor things and I have to carry them back outside. By the time I get to them, they're stone still because the three women in the house have stunned it with their screaming. I've managed to get four of the five I've caught outside without losing their tiny tails. The fifth was climbing up the sheers in the bathroom window and when I was pulling him off he must've pannicked and his little cold tail landed on my bare foot. I just kind of stood there for a minute trying to decide whether to pick it up too. For about ten seconds after I got over the shock, I thought about setting up a sort of terrarium for it and feeding it what I could catch until at least some of its tail grew back. When I thought about its normal prey- probably those frightening flying bugs I can't stand to have near me- I decided just to let it go and hope it survived.

lol Talon, lizards manage fine without their tails, no one knows if it hurts when a lizard drops its tail, but it is beleived that it does, even though they heal naturally. I wonder if they'll have a hexlizard... or a hexbug fly!

Talon... when I go down there, I love catching the anoles.. I hang out with them and usually have them sitting on my head for the rest of the day while everyone looks at me like I'm insane. Can you believe they sell them in pet stores here for 7-14 dollars?  I could literally spend the entire day playing with them..  or catching minnows/crayfish/frogs in a stream.. etc. I'm such a immature person..lol. But kids love me :)
And they can eat crickets.. flies.. etc. I used to have them as a kid, I would put one in every window in the house and if a fly came in they'd get it..lol.. they were so sweet and friendly. But don't feed em the hex bugs! Unless they are hex-lizards?  :D

I think I could've handled crickets but not flies. Oh well I hope he's alright wherever he is now. I don't know what kind of lizard he was. His little fat body fit in my hand without his tail. Once I curled my fingers around him and made a sort of holow in my hand, he stopped squirming until I placed him in the grass under a fallen tree branch. Wow! That much for a tiny lizard? My niece was thinking about a bearded dragon but she decided against it because she's not here enough to feed it. That was the same situation we had with Nibbles the guinea pig who now belongs to me. Now a Hex Lizard? That could be interesting.

Ohhh! I want one of these! I especially love the crabs. They remind me of my pet Halloween Crab named Crabby Cakes XD I'm thinking of checking around to see if I can buy one. I have seen the smaller ones (ants?) at Michael's Arts & Crafts here though I don't remember how much they were there.

I'm so impressed with hexbugs and the different sensors they use.  I love it that the crab will stay still and hide in the dark.  The nanos are interesting in that it is their shape and the shape of the environments that makes it look as if they have sensors - very clever.  Must get mine out again.  I have to say I find the larva rather creepy looking.  I have a dark nano and that is bothering when I just catch sight of it.  I'd love a spider - moves beautifully.  I have an inchworm which is quite cool too.
