I found this on eBay - the guy sells quite a few Pleos, but I noticed this amongst his listings:

The text translates to (ish):

It's an 'umbilical' cord. Just like hooking Pleo up to a mains outlet, you need the cord constantly attached.  This will not work on the RB's.

It is legitimate, well at least it certainly is possible, but be mindful that you will always need to have the cord attached and wether or not it will hinder the Pleo must be taken into consideration.

I've heard of people doing it - just not seen them for sale. 

TBH I would have thought it easier, and cheaper, to have two batteries ..........

My concern is that the Pleo might get tangled up. I think a neat little battery even if it only runs for two hours, is a better solution than the cord. IT looks a bit unsightly, but still if you want your Pleo to run all day it is a possible solution. (Now if only they could do it wirelessly...)

I did see this last year on somewhere like YouTube, but thought as IMR said, it is unsightly and rather cumbersome, that Pleo can get tangled up, I would much rather use two or even three batteries, Interesting, but not much good if you want to take your Pleo out in public, ( as I do) and to me, my opinon, it kind of TOTALLY ruins the "real" lifelike interactive life form that Pleo has become, How real is it to see a Pleo hooked up to a battery and long though not long enough cord? Looks more like life support or something from Pleo Frankenstein. I also can't see the feasability if you have multiple Pleos and they are all hooked up and trying to communicate, all I can see is a Pleo Traffic Jam of the worst kind possible.
 I understand how someone may think this is interesting and if they have the patience to just sit and Pleo sit Pleo while hooked up to this as an "experiment", it could be intersting for a bit, but I would see limitations and I would be done with it after one of two days, and want my free roaming Pleo Ugobes to be themselves and wander around without worrying about a mess of wires and getting tangled up and who knows what else,
 
          I am only saying, It does not interest me at this point. If it was wireless, it may be different, but not like this, just give me some batteries so I can go out and about and not worry about tangled pleos and such.             RWM
