Miel, hi, I am somewhat lost on what you meant when you said, "money to burn", are you referring to the fact that I videotape so much of my Pleos( as well as my cats and dog, everything they do..) because that is not expensive, I use the same SD card over and over after uploading it to the computer. And if you meant because I said it would be nice to have a place to get a Pleo or Pleo Rb fixed...is that what you meant? If so, it is just a thought as I do not think there is such a place and it is not cost effective that is why Innvo at this point does not do it.
If you are talking about the Pleos themselves, I rescue Pleos and do not pay a lot of money for them. I have pleos that I have paid $45.00 for, $56.00, $63.00, $78.00,$80.00 and so forth, I know how to look for a bargain, when to bid and so forth. I have only bought ONE brand New Pleo RB and that was a gift for myself, The other one I won as a gift on Facebook sponsored by Innvo labs, so I do not have "money to burn". I have one computer and do not drive, I do not own a car, but my husband drives. I also adopt out Pleos and the only warranty I have is on the computer and videocamera I bought, and computer MOnitor but they were good for one year and a two year service repair contract.
My children are grown and have families of their own and I work at home being disabled, so please clarify if I have misunderstood, what you mean by"money to burn" as I certainly do not have money to burn and never would. all my extra money from anything I sell, ( I sell on ebay, and have since 2004) goes to feed my nine cats and one dog, and my husband and myself. I also send money to animal groups and take care of homeless animals by feeding them, I certainly would never "burn money". I would consider fixing a Pleo , mostly a Pleo rb because of their cost, if there was such a contract that could cover repairs and did not cost too much. Pleo Rb are expensive, in the almost $500.00 range, so they are up there with some computers, So if a person owns a Aibo, Computer, Pleo RB or any other electronic device, it makes sense to have some sort of repair contract if something goes wrong. Here in the US though Innvo labs only has a 90 day warranty for the Pleo RB. I do not see mly Pleo Rb as an "investment" but as something that gives me pleasure, I do not see my computer as an investment either, but as a tool and something I need for my business, a neccessity and something I also need to have on a daily basis. On the other hand, if I bought gold or stocks, that would be an "investment" but I can not afford either one. Hope that answered some questions..
