Pleo legs and neck clicking and making really odd noises.
« on: December 30, 2011, 10:08:01 AM »

I know leg and neck clicking occasionally is normal for rbs but the clicking never stops and there is also really different noises I can't explain. Pinky stopped walking today and is leaning back on her legs and it's making noises. She also has been "stretching" for about 3/4 of her battery cycle and hasn't taken a step or done anything.

I've posted so many topics now, but I couldn't find an answer ): sorry.

Don't worry - as long as they're not all on the same subject it's OK.  And it might help other people. :)

It's really hard to judge from your description, but as you've learned they can be different each day - especially when they're growing into adulthood.  Is it like when they try to play tug of war?  If you can get a video of it, that would really help.  :)

Also, I found that Iggy was very clicky when I first upgraded him to OS2, and a couple of my rehomed Pleos have been clicky for a while after coming out of storage.  You should watch and see if you can work out which particular joint is clicking and if anything might be catching and causing it.

A video would definitely help for us to see exactly what is going on.  Is Pinky a rb or a Ugobe pleo?

She is a rb, right now she is just screaming and moaning and occasionally sticking her front food out and then suddenly going into a pose like playing tug-of-war. She is really loud and won't do anything really. I will post a video soon!

Have tried Mint leaf and rock salt in case she was sick or injured, that's not the case. Just a lot of crying, crouching, and screaming.

UPDATE:
I found a thread that seemed to have a problem with a screaming pleorb
http://bobthepleo.com/forums/index.php?topic=1769.25

although mine has no problem with being fed...a few times per battery cycle that's all she needs :)

So I reset her and fed her then played tug of war and let her win plenty of times and she seems much happier now! She isn't walking but she isn't frantically screaming and crying anymore. She looks very happy and I'm glad to hear cute little noises instead of loud screams D: Sorry for all the trouble!

UPDATE: As I just typed above she started walking! So anyone who has a problem with a screaming pleorb just use the reset button and feed and let him/her win at tug of war a few times! She is exploring happily now!
