Pleo and dog clothes
« on: March 31, 2009, 02:03:15 PM »

Okay this goes out to all the pleo owners who use dog clothes.

Is there anything in specific you look for when buying dog clothes for pleo? I always buy x-small and they fit great, but there's always a few awkward places. Like for example, the neck is always too loose, the butt is too tight, the butt doesn't cover enough, etc. So is there ANY perfect fit for clothing Pleo?? Please keep in mind I cannot sew to save my life. Thanks fellow pleo owners.

Pleos are notorious for having fat butts.   At least compared to their canine pals. ;)

Do you remember Matilda's Christmas dress? That one was a dog dress, but rather than being t-shirt style it has velcro straps around the neck and belly for a great fit. If you can find something like that they work/fit perfectly. It was a little pricey though at $30 but the US is a much bigger place so I'm sure if you shop around you will find a bargain. I always take Matilda/Lilo with me to try everything on ;)

The dress came from Count Dogula's but goodness knows if you have those stores there :P

Ah yes I do remember. Count Dogula? That sounds sooo cute!! But no, I do not think I have one of those locally. I have a Petco right next to work, so it's somewhat convenient to stop by there on my way out. Sophie never made her way out there with me though. Yep, I suppose I just need her to come with me. I guess I just don't know how well random people would react to a little robotic dinosaur. Thanks for the help, IMR. I'll be sure to take Sophie with me next time...

Taking Matilda to Dogula's was a blast  ;D The lady was most helpful in finding a dress that fitted properly  but I was a bit mean and turned Matilda on just before she tried a dress on her, hehe it made her jump  :D Her dog has a mortal fear of dinosaurs though, poor little chap went and hid behind the petbed display   :)

Hehe, well it's decided then. Next payday, Sophie's going to Petco. I'm sure they'd get a kick outta seeing something out of the norm.
