baby frog
« on: November 19, 2011, 08:22:41 PM »

We have had tadpoles in our pond for what seems like a year.  They have slowly disappeared so that now there are only two big ones left.  Finally today I watched one of them climb from the pond for the first time.
He still has his tail attached.  :)
He crawled through the rocks at the ponds edge for about half an hour
And then made his way to the top and leaped back into the pond.  ;D

Great photos, kat! :) Little froggy can't jump around with a tail still attached! :( Do you ever find the tails around the pond? ;D

Not as yet.  This year was our first year with a frog pond.  So this is the first tadpole we have witnessed turning into a little frog.  ;D  I'm guessing his tail will drop off some time in the next day or so.
