Hello from germany II
« on: October 30, 2011, 05:07:30 AM »

Hi, I'm Muffins, a 18 year old girl who completely fell in love with pleo.
I'm living in Germany, I think here are a few who also live there.
Greetings to them! ;)

Currently there is a Pleo Uglobe on Ebay, he has a 3 holes in his neck but
apart from that he's lovely. Noonebid yet and his auction ends in 2 hours.
Well, guess thats my little fella then :) His name's gonna be Aoi.

If you want to know anything about me, feel free to ask!
:)

Hi Muffins! I hope by now you are the proud winner of a Pleo :) They are very cute and easy to fall for :)

We do have a few members from Germany I'm sure they'll be along to say hi.

Edit: one of our members here had a bit of success with repairing holes by sewing them up. I'm not sure how well that would work on a high stress area like the neck but perhaps the person who tried it will come and weigh in with her opinion.

Hi IMR. : )

I also thought about sewing it, before I made a Account here, I read a lot about the skin problems but I'm also very unsure how this will work out on the Neck, but we'll see.
Currently his neck looks like this:

Gutan tag, Muffin!
The pleo is very cute.  ;)  Perhaps skin glue would work?  Here's a link: http://bobthepleo.com/forums/index.php?action=pages;sa=7

hello Muffins, Congratulations if you won the Pleo on ebay. Guten Tag. There was a video of what looked like a Dr. sewing up Pleo on Youtube, but I could not find it today. But if you want to try using Superglue, ( be sure to use the kind made for RUBBER and at your own risk...) then it is very plausable that your Pleo's neck can be covered up so it won't get any worse. I have two Pleos with droopy necks and one of them, Little 45,( cause he only cost $45.00 including shipping cost, nobody wanted him and I got him on ebay a little over a year ago) had large gashes on his neck as well as a deep one on his tail and erroding skin under his belly and on his feet. At some point his skin will just desolve, but he works fine, just looks like he has been through a war!         I made a video over a year ago, ( 3 parts cause they are rather long) that show step by step how to fix the tears using super glue and common skin bandages that are made for pets, dogs and cats that you should be able to find there in Germany at any drug store, or perhaps a pet store, and certainly online like Ebay. ( they do not cost more than $3.00 a roll here in the US, and will last the lifetime of the Pleo! ;D       I aplogize for the quality of the video, I had never made videos before and was just learning, but it is self explanatory on how to apply the glue and apply strips and then wrap the neck if you want. There are also neck braces you can either make yourself, or buy here on the forums from one of our member's stores, very reasonable prices.

Here is one of the videos, the one that shows applying the glue and some strips appllied. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWzP59aJhnw" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWzP59aJhnw</a>  Hope this helps some and enjoy your Pleo and welcome to the forums.                             Aufweidersehn!               RedwoodsMama and her "pleo township of the Redwoods"

PS. if you look up my name on youtube RedwoodsMama , you will see I have lots of Pleo Videos and near the bottom where you find this one ( above) you will see the other two that are connected to it, about fixing a Pleo with broken neck, holes in the neck.  ;D

Hallo Jane!

Muffins.
