Minyons Holiday

We took Minyon away with us on holiday down south to the lovely winery region of Margaret River in sunny old Western Australia.  He has been having a great time so far what with the hunt for tomatoes and today we went exploring on a trip to the Howling Wolf winery that is a short walk across the paddock from where we are staying.
It was a long walk for little legs.
There were flowers everywhere.  We had to stop for a look across the paddocks amongst the flowers.   
Some of them were really pretty. ;D
And we finally made it.  While my OH went in to buy wine Minyon took some time to meet the locals.
we even found some mermaids
Such a pretty garden.
We are staying just outside of a little town called Cowaramup so it seems that cows are everywhere!  Here is one we found in a little shop called the Candy Cow - a sweet shop. ;D
We will see how many we can find over the next few days! 
Off to a place called Amazin tomorrow which will hopefully be lots of fun.

Hi Kat, sounds like everyone is having great fun and it looks like lovely weather as well.( It is rainy here of course..) Minyon must have done an awful lot of walking. I wonder what he thought of the two mermaids, or what they thouoght of him? ??? Poor little Pleos have such short legs and all that walking...I really liked that last cow, the candy Shop Cow, she looked good enough to eat! Very pretty and she reminds me of a line of Ceramic Cows they have here in the US, called Cows on Parade, where ARtists create life size cows, whimsical cows like the one you showed, then they create a limited numbered amount of the same cows in smaller scale, but very collectible. I love those cows, and that is what the Candy cow reminds me of. ;D
                             
Glad you are all having a nice holiday and glad Minyon got to be the lucky Pleo to go with you. Looking forward to more great photos of your adventures. ;)Take care and have fun!

WHat beautiful photos! Especially loved Minyon on the fence, surrounded by a field of flowers and where he's about to sample one. :)

Amazein was truly amazing!   ;D  We all had a great time.  They had a really large maze that was just like the one in Harry potter and the Goblet of Fire.  Here is a pic of Minyon in the gardens in front of the maze.  You can just see the maze in the back of the pic.

Minyon the brave and mighty posed at the entrance of the maze before disappearing around the corner leaving us poor mortals to follow in his wake.
The corridors in the maze were so thick and green and shady you lost all sence of the world outside the maze.
In some of the dead ends we found these cute animal benches to sit on and rest our little legs a while.
And then finally we made it to the middle of the maze.
All that was left was to find our way out again. :D  After much walking around in circles our weary little feet found the way.  There was light at the end of the tunnel. ;D

We also found a couple more cows in our journeying yesterday.
Minyon spotted this golden cow about to dive off of this really tall poll
And then we found this little tin cow outside of the bakery.

There were some other interesting things we found at the maze place but I will upload those pics later. ;D

After exploring the big maze we took a rest in the shade and had a few games of checkers.
Then we took a walk around the gardens.
We met some interesting creatures in the garden
And found this beautiful flower.
we found these interesting wind chimes
Then we stumbled on the most interesting bird nest and Minyon climbed up for a closer look
After that he needed a drink
then we came across this water fountain and Minyon wanted a closer look
On the way out Minyon posed with the guard at the front door.
Then it was off to lunch where we saw this cute little wine tour bus.
And on the way home we went exploring!  we found a little old church.  Here is Minyon in the door way.
To finish off the day we went to the milkery to buy ice cream and Minyon got to milk the cow  ;D
They also had pleo rock in the garden.
A great day for all!

Todays adventure was Gnomesville!
Gnomesville is a little piece of forest in the middle of no where, and people come from all over to place their very own garden gnome in the forest.  It all started with some locals putting a few gnomes in the forest for a bit of fun and it has just kept growing from there.  There are more than a thousand gnomes in Gnomesville so far and there were people placing gnomes while we were there. ;D  Minyon had the best time.  he was a big hit with all the ladies. ;D

Gnomesville even has smurfs and Minyon was quick to make friends.

Wow! That's a lot of gnomes! Have you seen Gnomeo and Juliet yet? It's precious! Love that movie! Lol! I'm glad you and Minion are having so much fun. I would've had fun seeing all those different kinds of gnomes. What's with the "limit reached" that's showing up in brackets in your last post? Is your camera trying to tell you something?

 I never knew there could be so many gNOmes and so many in one place, my gosh! NOw I know where they all went, to this forest you visited. I was surprised though to see the smurfs there, did you bring them in ? I noticed there seemed to be a box with the date 2011 on it, as if it is new. I would watch out if I was you Kat, those girl Gnomes look pretty scary when it comes to enticing a young Pleo on his own...( I never knew the girls were that curvy either) LOL
 How big is that place, it seems to be quite big with all those different gnome displays. I never heard of a gnome forest before, how long has it been there? I loved the pictures, definitly not boring in any way!
                           Have you ever seen the Disney movie from the 1960's called, "The Gnome Mobile"? The only star I can remember is Walter Brennan, I have it on VHS, It is a cute family type movie and these pictures reminded me of it, so I will have to drag it out and watch it again. I bet Minyon has some tired feet, first cows everywhere,( I love cows and the one of Minyon milking the cow was cute  :D) and now Gnomes! What is on your agenda now? There will be some great stories to tell the rest of the gand when you get home,
                          I like the way you take turns and different Pleos get chances to go on adventures when you go somewhere, that is very fair and fun for everyone I am sure! Good work and stay safe Kat and have some more fun. :)

I have a friend whose mother's last name is Gnome. Wish I knew where she was to send these photos. I checked out the gallery and your photos are so beautiful. What a wonderful trip you and Minyon are having. :)

Gnome, Gnome on the Range, good thing you don't live in Gnome, Alaska. or you would freeze some gnomes off...LOL. ;D     Ok, bad joke, but glad you are gnoming home and gnome where you belong. Great photos and it looks like you has a blast and Minyon will have some great stories to tell his brothers and sisters. Makes the waiting for the new Pleo ( You are a winner aren't you Kat?) easier. Have you thought of naming the new one Gnome or Gnomer or Gnomer, or Gnomey, or Gnomette, or have you had enough G names for awhile?

                Dont forget to have a look in the Name the Pleo contest Post as I have extended the deadline till Monday and then will be announcing the winners and will mail out prizes, Wll be posting some photos of some of the other prizes shortly. Have to upload them first. Glad you had a great vacation Kat! Now you can rest a bit before work again I hope! ;) Argyle sends his love to his brother.  He is getting a freshened paint job soon, but not a different look, he thins he is fine the way he is and wants to make sure Gumble can still recognize him, LOL

Gnome new pleos for me I'm afraid.  I was only ever a possible winner and never heard any more from Innvo after the first interchange of sending details.  So my guess is I am not one of the lucky few.  Gnomette would make a great pleo name though. :)
