Hi, I purchased a "2010 upgraded version" from Gimmedigi a weeks ago for my 5yr boy.
 But I don't think the Pleo I got is 2010 upgrade version.

 I feel very very bad about this purchased because the seal sticker already been opened. So it looks like "open Box" condition.
And the Pleo box said the "a Ugobe life Form" and the plus the serial number on the bottom of Pleo is #1104005xxxxx".
The customer service is horrible. The said the "open box"situation is because they need to inspect the product before they ship.( but they did not mention this in the website ) I thought all the product should be brand new and seal.

Also I am not sure what does the 2010 Pleo upgrade version box looks like? Does the box still have the "a Ugobe life Form" in the front under PLEO?
Plus I talk to Pleoworld tech support few weeks ago they told me all the newer version from innvolabs serial number should starts with #81xxxxxxxxxx" not #11xxxxxxxxxx" (Ugobe version )

I complain above things to Gimmidigi customer support and had several emails back and forward in pass week.  I have to say they are very  bad in respond the mail and phone until I told them I am going to escalate the dispute case to a PayPal claim. So I got my answer from them today and told me they are sure the product they send out is "2010 upgrade version" according  their supplier. I just don't think so!!! Can someone help me?

Please help me to tell the difference between oldest Pleo  or Ugobe  Pleo with 2010 upgrade version Pleo.

Does Angus's box have the "a Ugobe life form" or have the innvolabs logo on it? Do you still have the box?
Also what is the  first 4 digi serial number of our Angus if it is okay to ask?

Angus sadly isn't mine, (I was hoping he would be but due to budget constraints I just couldn't afford him ) you would need to ask OzPleo for that info.

 That picture on the box sure looks like the old Ugobe Pleos to me, nothing like a 2010 new model. Angus looks nice though!

I don't have Angus' original box anymore but I can tell you his serial number is completely different from yours.

Angus is quite dark in colour, his skin is quite soft but very bumpy compared to the Ugobe version. I have noticed the light green spot on the top of Angus' head is smaller than yours.

I looked at all the photos and even the box says 2007, and Ugobe, this looks exactly like the Ugobes I have at HOme, I have 16 Ugobes and they all look like this, give or take some slightly lighter variations of green or yellow, but even the boxes are all the same. As Oz and others have said, this is not the 2010 Pleo, If you can open a case or get your money back, I would, this is clearly false advertising, even the number on the bottom of the foot is a give away.I have at least one Pleo who has numbers very similiar in a close batch to this, and it is a Old Ugobe.
              I don't know what you paid, but the only thing is that the Pleo does look in Excellent condition, but not what you thought it would . I would be very upset and mad at Gimmidig and would want my money back. Good luck with what ever you choose to do, I am sorry it is not the Pleo you thought you were getting.

You most definitely have an older Ugobe pleo.  The side view of the pleo is a dead giveaway.  On the 2010 and newer pleos, the green paint on the shoulders comes down further.  Only the Ugobe pleo used the white Styrofoam packaging, and Innvo Pleos start with serial number 8168XXXXXXX8.  Also, check the bottom of the battery charger.  If it's an Innvo Labs pleo the charger will say Innvo Labs.

get your money back i would , if it is is 2010 pleo you are after i would go for the merlin edition pleo at least then you know these were produced this year .

I asked about these in an email quite awhile ago, they told me they were updated & upgraded to be just as good as the newer models.. All that seems to mean is that they are running the newest software available for that type/model of Pleo.. I would definately get my money back, as they are very misleading in that ad and basically tricked you into buying the wrong item. I have 2 ugobes and they are wonderful but the ones they are selling are obviously way overpriced..
Lying about the model is really crummy too..
You might want to consider sending Invvo Labs an email with that link.. I'd wanna know if one of my authorized distributors was doing something like that.. makes them look bad too..

Just to update, I contacted Gimmedigi about this issue.  It seems that, being based in Hong Kong they had no real idea as to what the 2010 'improved' Pleo should actually be and were going by what they had been told by their supplier.  They checked what I said as well as with Innvo and the supplier, and have agreed that the model sent out was not as advertised.  I looked and they seem to have removed the item from their website as well.

If mushroomdoll has not already done so, send it back for a full refund, shipping and apology  - contact me for full details if you need them.
