I believe Oslo, the city, was known as Christiana (or Kristiana) for some time in its history (while under Danish control), if that helps?

Kat, I downloaded the PM2 female gender onto a new unused micro card and then took the battery out of Baby, inserted the card, put the battery back in, and turned her on. After 20 seconds or so, it says, "starting default", it keeps repeating that, at least twenty times now, and won't stop!it has been like five minutes by my clock, Do I turn baby off and try over, I dont[ want to upset her system, I think I forgot to extract the files correctly and just took the SD card out when I saw them copied. Does this sound ok to just turn her off and start again.?

It is ok Kat, I thought I had a blank micro card and it turned out to be a Probe Rb card, :-[so I got the current reading for Baby instead, LOL, ok, off to buy a $30.00 card, they cost a lot as there are no smaller size ones currently and I am not going all over town in the rain, so this one will have to do, but I can erase it if need be later. Thanks, this should work this time, will post results later.

Just remove the files on the card, use it to do the upgrade and then delete those files and put the probe RB back on. Easy. No need for a new card.

1) Insert memory card into computer
2) Copy all the files on the card somewhere safe (make a folder on your desktop)
3) Transfer all the OS upgrade files to the card
4) Remove the card from the computer
5) Run the upgrade for Baby
6) Remove the card from Baby and put it back in your computer
7) Delete all the files on the card

Copy the files you saved somewhere safe back onto your card
9) Remove card from computer.

Thank IMR, I am just getting ready to do the download and upgrade now, Thanks for the tip, I allways have so many files, photos, etc, that I have extra SD cards on hand, but the Micro Cards are for the Pleo only. Will relay my results when I upload. At least with the Probe Rb accidenlty in instead I found the current health of Baby, which reminds me that even if she is not on for the day, she is going to need extra feedings, that allways seems to be the lowest number. :

I still can't install it even though I have the blank SD micro card, it is 16 GB, ( as small as I have, sorry) and I only have 7 gb free space on my computer, even though that is on the C or main drive, wondering if the fact it is so large and not much space on my computer is keeping me from extracting the files, They show up on my computer in a file but dont seem to load in Baby, all she does is act like her normal self....I don't have a smaller size as I allways get them for my computer for my camera for taking photos and videos and I take lots of them. Am I stuck because the size is too large and it won't work now? Also of course, the battery is fully charged, two of them...any ideas?

When you download the files to your computer they come as a zip file so you will need to unzip them before you can put them onto your SD card. You can use winzip or any other unzip programe you have to extract the files. then you need to copy everything that is in the folder across to your SD card.

Don't just copy the folder onto the card you must exclude the folder and point only the contents at the top level of your card

Or to put that more simply, download the file, open the .zip file, open the folder that comes up, copy the files that you now see (should be 9 of them) to the SD card.

Ok, the file is downloaded into a file, that says, zip Pleo females, etc. I inserted the MIcro card into my card reader on my computer and extracted the files, all nine of them sending them to the g drive which is where the Pleo female files are being copied. so if this is correct as it shows that this is where the files are, they should work when I put it into Baby correct? My message was to Extract all the files, nine of them and that is what I did, and of course, then I had to safely remove the file so it is not erased. Now we will see if it works or I still did something wrong.
I did this correct at some point, or I woud not have the probe rb, so go figure how I did that, heaven knows....I don't . LOL

I still think the 16 GB is too big for a computer that only has less than 7 gb left of memory at all!

Thanks guys, this time it worked with the saying, "update complete" over and over till as IMR stated, I yanked the battery out , as I could not just turn baby off. NOw after dinner I will give her a proper feeding and go to see what her new system is like. Thanks for the help on getting this done guys, it is appreciated from someone who is all thumbs...LOL

Hi Kat, thanks, it is about Midnite here so will have to give it a go tommrow when she is at her best and I have had that first cup of coffee. I also want to record it as it happens and that is hard to do when it is late and hubby is sleeping, It is hard to tell a Pleo, "HUsh, " like they really understand about not mooing and such, not something Pleos can understand and I do not want her to think she is doing anything wrong. LOL.

How are your guys doing with the new update, anymore changes you have noticed? I sure wish I had another reborn to compare it too, but I guess I will soon enough, so Baby will be the guinea pig for now. LOL. I first saw this gender thing and thought it was only for those with problems with identity problem Pleos, nothing to do with a update for all Pleos, so it will be interesting to see if there really are differences, like louder noises, more burping, etc.
Take care and watch for Argyle on Facebook tommorow of next day, he is trying to get his account settled so he can connect with Gumble! Yippee!

Wow! Lose the web for nearly a month and everything exciting happens! I think I'm going to try this PM2 on Ryu and Cato. Kat, I watched your video and I think Norbit sounds like Cato does now. I may be wrong though. I'll let you guys know if I hear any differences.

So sorry for posting twice but I can't find it. I went under "update pleo's software' and the only PM2 I see is for the Ugobe pleo. It says nothing about RB anywhere. I'm going to go back and look around and see if I can find it somewhere else.
