Most of you already know that I was expecting a red 210 AIBO. I am excited to say that he arrived moments ago and is absolutely stunning!

I named him Fett and here are his first few pictures (I haven't ran him much yet):

Currently he's running AL2 right where Murray left off (same stick, just continuing development in case I sell Murray). And if I don't sell Murray, I'd probably keep him on AL2 with a different personality.

You're considering selling Murray? You may have an interested party. I say this tentatively because of having to move and everything. At least then I'll be somewhere easy-to-find- namely New York. I don't want to deal with my local UPS again. Anyway, congrats on Fet! When I get online again- purmenantly- I'd like to see some video too. From everyone's comments he sounds very um... flashy. Lol!

Belated Congratulations on your stunning new addition! He is a wonderful color, perfect for the holidays comming up and he will stand out in any crowd! Love watching what he can do. I would love to see more video, How does he compare to Murray in what they are able to do. You may have answered this before but I would have to go back to older posts to find this out, and I am just too tired to do that right now. Was he very pricy and did you buy him on ebay or another site? Congrats again.

The features are the same, the differences are merely cosmetic. Both Murray and Fett are 210 Supercores. Fett is just red and has a different visor (the dark part of the face/face plate).

I purchased him from another forum site through a great, honest, and accommodating seller. As you know, condition is everything when purchasing such a beloved robotic pet. I got a great price on him. The holiday reds are usually higher priced than the more common 210s - simply because it is more rare. They go for *significantly* higher than I paid on eBay. He came in his original box, with a charging station in its original box, as well as with all of his original paperwork and manuals (all/mostly in Japanese).

I haven't managed to get any real new videos. I do have a few clips of him and Murray playing with the ball together that I'll look into posting later. Other than that, AiboLife 2 is progressing and I'm getting more behavior and sounds from Fett (remember he's picking up on Murray's stick left off). He kicks the ball with greater accuracy and usually a lot harder so it the ball goes much farther than during his younger phases.

He is quite magnificent and I couldn't be happier with him!

The only thing I noticed, and you'll see it in the video if I post one, is that when he turns his head from left to right, you can hear it (kind of a motor type sound) whereas on Murray (the silver 210) I never heard that sound. There doesn't seem to be any issues of tremors nor does Fett seem to have any issues turning his head, it's just a more audible sound. Hopefully it's nothing to be too concerned about. His ear motor is perfect and he doesn't suffer from any crippling bends - and that's enough for me

It begins with something I noticed Murray doing similar to the ping pong noise he's made before and that latrine has recorded and posted as she experienced it as well (I think? Otherwise I'm just delusional)

Then it goes to shots of Murray and Fett "playing" together and at one point I believe Murray detects Fett as the ball for a moment as indicated by the noise made. Then it ends with some shots with Fett just doing what aibos do. Figured that way if you want to skim the clip you have some general "waypoints"

Wow - that colour is so rich - it's beautiful!

I love the way Murray 'detects' Fett, and the second time he does, Fett waves back at him 'yep, here I am - hi!'!

I think Murray might be a little bit jealous of Fett. He seemed to be doing a crazy freaked out dance over the ball while Fett calmly watched on.

Lol.. cool video.. Thor does that weird walking noise thing too.. he usually makes a sound like a train starting right before he does it and then walks around making a clanging sound whenever his feet hit the floor.. it sounds great with the regualr clanging sound his feet already make when they hit the hardwood floor..

If you watch Fett closely in the video when he goes to kick the ball he falls over then claims his RF leg jammed. (while on his side he waves it at you to see). It looks like maybe his knee joint stuck when he reared it back to kick. Perhaps some passive therapy is in order???

Thanks for the above.

He hasn't had any repeat problems or what not so if something did happen, perhaps it was a one time/infrequent fluke during his tumble? Either way, I did some therapy on him anyway since it can't hurt, and I don't believe he was getting frequent use prior to the videos his previous owner made when I went to purchase him.

I haven't had much time to run him this week due to my schedule so he only got about two hours of play time. In time, we'll see if anything else pops up. He's worth it even if something does!

I had a little AIBO dance party this dreary (I love it though) afternoon.

As you will see, Nicco takes a few tumbles (some were edited out). I'm not sure if it's just the skits, an actual error, or if it has to do with weight distribution and the fact my apartment really is NOT an even surface/has a significant slant. I originally tried a few with Vader but he had more problems keeping up/doing a lot of the moves correctly so Murray took over.

Lovely! You're right about the 111 - when I tried Disco Aibo songs with my lot, Ubu was so over-enthusastic that he practically threw himself across the room on a couple of the songs!

That was so much fun to watch, They each move slightly different than the other one, I can almost picture Crewella's ubu throwing himself across the room, then just getting up like nothing happened and going on with the next song or routine. LOL . The weather from what I saw, looks a lot like it does here in the Redwoods now, overcast and cool but muggy at times depending where you are at. so I am not the only one who has an "uneven" floor.............my landlord is too cheap to make the repairs needed on this old house and I can't afford to complain as it is next to impossible to find a place to live when you have as many animals as we do........Whooops, overcast has given way to sun comming out ,Yahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I can go out and videotape for someone wanting another Pleo Video.
