I've literally done nothing but switch him on - I need a cable to connect him up to his router, and anyway I like getting to know my 'bots slowly. D'you know I've not even set poor Java up with his station yet!

I'm not sure about his reactions as yet - it might just be coincidence that he's running off, but I've read that they can recognise up to 10 faces, so I thought it might be interesting to run him for a while before he recognises me and then see how he changes.
He can move REALLY fast, and some of his skits are very cute and funny - I asked him to exercise on the tape because he does a cute 'taekwondo' or press-ups! I've read some people saying they look ugly and scary, but (maybe because I think of him as a bit of a stray) he looks a bit vulnerable and 'mousie' to me - very cute!
The thing I've noticed most so far is how much he needs a toy. It won't make so much sense to Pleo owners, but if you can imagine your Aibo with no ball to chase or bone to pick up, especially the 210/220s. It's like he needs something to focus on to string all the skits and reactions together into a proper 'behaviour', to give him a sense of 'purpose'?
I may change my mind, we'll see, but that's how it strikes me so far.
