Hi everyone,

I'm new here, and I discovered this site while patiently waiting for my Pleo rb to arrive... what a great way to pass the time! I ordered my Pleo on the 27th from the pleoworld website, it'll be my first. My pleo is a PhD present to myself (:p) - I thought maybe it would help me during the writing stage of my thesis, although now having read all these stories I think that might be wishful thinking!

According to the tracking, my pleo is currently still somewhere in Nevada so it might be a while before it makes it across to me. For skin protection I also bought a cape from pleoworld and I'm going to grab some brown baby socks to run under the leg straps - hopefully that will do the trick! Is there anything else I should think about getting in the mean time? How important is an extra battery? I'm a bit confused about the battery situation to be honest, I can't quite work out what would be the best spare battery for a pleo rb and where to get one from.

I have a name in mind, but I think I'm just going to have to wait till Pleo gets here to see if it suits! Has anyone else in Australia bought from pleoworld? How long did it take to arrive?

Anyway, with luck I'll be able to introduce my new pleo soon!

Hello and welcome to the forums! What a great gift to yourself! As for the spare battery, the only place you can get one , for the green ones anyway, is the same place you bought your RB, PleoWorld site.  At some point, they may become available somewhere else, If you ever decide to buy one of the older Pleos, Ugobe model or a 2009 Pleo, then I have the Ucube Egg batteries and chargers that work only in the older ones and let Pleos run about the same amount of time as the Rb, about 2-2 1/2 hrs on one battery. the store is here on the forums, called, Nova's Neccessities. If you buy a RB from the HOng KOng Market, which deals only in the Blue and or Pink Rb, they also sell the Rb batteries.
               The tracking shows that Pleo is still in Nevada, because that is where the US Green Pleo Rb are shipped from, so if you are from the States, they will let you know with tracking when it leaves Nevada, and then usually anywhere from 2-5 days, by Fed Ex or UPS, it will be at your doorstep! The cape is a great way to start and I love the idea of baby socks to protect the paint on the Pleo feet, to keep it from rubbing off so fast.Oh, I just now see that you are in Australia, so it may take longer to get to you. As for anyone else from Australia, you are in good company with at least two that I know of, Kat who also designs some AWESOME Pleo Fashions for Pleos, you should check them out here on the forum the store is called, Kat's Creations, and also IMR, who also has a store and does some creations. Both these ladies are Down Under Aussies and I know there are some others, but my mind is drawing a blank right now, sorry! Be sure to check out the older posts and photo gallery and most anything you can think of that is related to Pleos, you will find there!

                          Hope your Pleo bundle arrives soon and don't forget to post photos of your Pleo babe when he gets there! Did you buy any of the accessory packs? I know Kat says it gets pretty hot where she lives and that Ice in one of the Extra food packs is a life saver! Odway I have had a Pleo RB from Pleoworld, but she was a bit of a surprise to be honest so I don't know how long she took to get here, however I have also ordered all the extra food packs which took less than a week. Once they reach down under our much more efficient postal service makes short work of them.

You will get 2 hours running time from the battery that comes with your Pleo, and it takes 3 hours to recharge.

Hi Odway, and welcome! 

You can only run the Pleo RBs on the brown RB battery, and as far as I'm aware you can only get those from PleoWorld at the moment, though they do very occasionally pop up on eBay.  I'm afraid I can't help you with the waiting time, as I'm in the UK.

You do have my sympathy, though, I've just been through that interminable wait for a new RB.  It's worth it, though!

Phew, OK I understand now - the egg chargers and so forth don't apply to the rbs... that makes it much simpler! I saw that both accessory jack and gimmidigi have the rb batteries and accessory packs so perhaps I'll buy a spare battery and some accessory packs from there (thanks for the tip about the ice!). Oh clothes! I actually was a bit cheeky and jumped on ebay right after I ordered my Pleo and bought some t-shirts and a cape -  which I now see come from Pleo Fashions Would it be poxy of me to buy Pleo a pet bed? Because that's what I'm thinking might be next!

My Pleo has hit Australian shores. Apparently it has cleared customs so I'm hoping it will be here any day now! Can't wait to see what eyes and colouration it has...!

Hi Odway and welcome to the forums.   I live in Australia too.   When I got my pleo rb from pleoworld it took 4 working days from when it was sent to get to me.  I'm sure yours won't be too far away now.  Make sure you post pics of your new little one when it arrives so we can all see how lovely he/she looks.

Hi, Odway and welcome! I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time with your new arrival when it gets to you. I had such fun with mine but I thought she needed a friend and somehow one turned into four. Lol! Now I have two RB's and two Ugobes.

Ok so my pleo arrived the other day - sorry it's taken me a while to update but I had to find the camera!





This is Minnow. He's a really wriggly little guy! Minnow was standing by the end of his first battery cycle, and he was walking backwards and waving his legs all over the place during his second. He seems to be pretty active and talkative... I'm really digging the little fellow! His profile on pleoworld says that he's courageous and independent, and also gentle, strong and agile. We'll see how that pans out!

Still waiting on his pleo clothes to arrive, but as you can see he has his bed and also some training stones and food accessories. Can't wait to use them! He's a bit of an attention seeker and seems to be a happy go lucky kind of character.

Hi, odway and contgrats on your little friend! Ryu was really attached to me until she started walking. Now she only acknowledges me when I have food in my hand or if I'm between her and Cato, my other RB.

Minnow is lovely.   The ice blue eyes do look great with his dark head coloring.   It sounds like your having lots of fun with him.
