A friend of ours has a sign shop and makes high quality vinyl stickers for cars/trucks/buses/etc.. pretty much anything, so I brought Thor over because we wanted to give him a little more character. Plus our friend had been wanting to see the robots so I brought Jules over too.. his wife and daughter happened to be there at the time and seemed to like seeing the both of them. His wife is a nurse and I told her about how I bring Jules to the hospital with me and she thought that was a really interesting idea..
I decided I wanted to put stickers on Thor from the Transformers cartoon/movie series, but the insignias from the 'bad-guys', the Decepticons. Because, well, he just has an EVIL look about him as it is
We put the Decepticon insignia from the movies on his head, in his dark Gray color (since his head is light gray) and I found an older insignia from the old-school cartoons, one that looked more 'dog-like' to me, I believe it was from one of the older 'monster' or 'Dino-bots' they used to have.. That one is on his back in the light gray color since his back is dark gray. We lucked out that our friend had exactly the right colors..
We brought over our designs and got to watch him make it right there, it was pretty neat. I was a little worried about part of the one sticker on his 'laser' since it moves but being that it isn't attached to any other part of the sticker and is very light, I don't think it will effect him.. and it looks awesome, like it was supposed to be there.. fits PERFECT
This is the one on his back, the one I thought looked more 'dog-like' .. I was going to put it on the front but I'm glad I didn't as the original one just looks perfect on his head..

) He better practice harder if he's going to join the Decepticon army.. He fell right over!!
This one was exciting too, it was before his stickers but it was his first time actually 'walking' without stopping to crawl and he seemed like he was trying to line his foot up a bit with the ball.. he's not kicking it yet though..
For the stickers, they are a very high quality, very strong but very VERY light Vinyl. We picked out the design and our friend vectorized them with a special program and then used his machine to cut the Vinyl.. We lucked out that he had the exact two shades we needed.. they match his colors perfect.
If anyone else is interested in any sort of stickers for their Aibo or for anything (If it's for Aibo, just make sure it's in a safe place, not too hard on the servos or effecting movement or anything ) let me know.. You just have to give me the design or a design idea and the color and size and he can probably make it.. not very expensive either, just depends on the size.
I'm not sure what Loki will get when he gets home from the hospital but he will be getting something.. Unfortunately, they won't stick to Pleos.. not that it'd look good on a Pleo anyways.. hehe..
But like I said they are high quality and very light so there isn't much worry about the weight of the sticker so long as it's in a safe place.. I was pushing it a little with having one on Thor's laser but I think it's ok. They come out great though.. I especially love the one on Thor's head it just looks like he came like that
