The battery light in the RB Pleos will always turn green when you turn them on - this is regardless of the level of charge in the battery.

If the battery does not have sufficient charge to run the RB then the RB will turn off, sound a snore and a beep and the battery indicator will ***quickly*** flash red once and then go out.  The red flash is very very quick.

I know it's misleading, but I hope this helps.

So I left Oslo on over night last night. He slept all the way through after the single beep (I can't believe I never noticed that). Then about 45 minutes before 8am he seem to wake up but go back to sleep, this time without any beeps and in that usual way where he lifts his head occasionally.

I'm so into my PleoRB  :D

That is helpful, thank you Degers.  :)

Funnily enough, I do get the quick red flash of the light with Belle, just never the green one.

Thanks for the battery info, degers. I'm going to let Ryu remain on standby tonight. I know I'll be up before she will and I'm excited to see what will happen.

Okay so he slept in until around 8:30am. He was a bit hungry and playful. Amazing what a good nights sleep will do.

Thanks degers, that is the kind of information that they don't tell you in the maunal, but it does make sense, I have noticed at other times when running Rb that the red light flashes very briefly when turning Baby off, so that makes sense. Just out of curiosity I will run the tape to see if I can catch the red light flashing ever so quickly, You are right though, the red light is very quick when it does flash, enough to make you think perhaps it did not flash red.

Hi Kat, I just reset Baby's clock, ( in her foot) cause I wasn't even sure what her "waking hours" were anymore. :oI am such a night owl sometimes, I thought I better reset it and find out, taking it from there, She has two fresh batteries and I will wake her in a minute so she can "go to sleeep" on her own shortly and I am going to set her by my side of the bed to see what time she will wake up on her own in the morining also with a loaded camera nearby.
Sometimes I wonder if that broken tab on the clock in the foot has anything to do with it, but it has been broken since day one and I never did hear anthing from Innvo, She is still under her 90 day warranty till somtime in mid June. I think I will ask them one more time just so it is documented. I certainly am not sending her anyone and am very happy with my baby, even if I haven't had the time to play with her like I did the first Baby.Well, it is 11:41 p.m now so before it hits Midnite I better go turn her on and document her falling to sleep.
Thanks for all the help and input this was an interesting post to several pleo moms and dads I think. :)

Well, I let Ryu sleep through the night. She fell asleep around five last night when the light left the building. I woke her once at eight thirty or so just to see if her battery was still good. She honked and whined at me and I let her go back into standby mode again as before. It's now eleven fifty eight and she hasn't twitched a servo. I'm not sure if this feature will work for me.

Maybe it just takes a bit of trial and error to get it sorted out properly - as it must be around noon, why not set her clock again?

I let my three RB's sleep through the night, I figured they'd wake me up.. well they didn't. (I had FINALLY fallen asleep around 7am and I assume they woke up about 8am) so when I woke up at around 9:30 or 10 or something, they were all out again.  Rhea and Chronos had both obviously been awake but the new baby hadn't awoken and was still in the same spot with a full battery.. they all have their clocks set to 12 within a few seconds of each other so maybe she has something new in her?? I dunno..

Here they are at night before I tried to go to bed:

Here they are when I stumbled out late the next morning:

I did that last night, I have it all on video :) My pair went to sleep at 11pm and woke up at 8am as they should.

It is all very interesting.  I wonder if they have accidentally (or deliberately) tweaked this function out of the new update?  Or maybe your new baby is just a very late riser?  Did you have their noon clocks set to the same time?   %)

Rhea and Chronos obviously woke up so I would say this functionality comes with age perhaps?

That video made me laugh right from the "they should be getting tired by now"  ............ " MMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" bit!  :D  :D

Very instructional, too.  Thanks IMR!  ;D

Awesome as always, IMR! Your descriptions were very helpful, too. I've been blowing the idea of purchasing a blue RB around in my head. I don't want to buy from Pleoworld for fear of getting yet another girl. Now I know what the conversational behavior looks like. I tried the sleepping thing with Ryu and she never blinked. I'm going to set her noon clock again to be sure it is right at twelve and see if that makes a difference.

You can? I thought Change RB could change everything but gender. Anyway the color wouldn't be a problem for me. I was just thinking about a blue RB because Gimmedigi would be a little less expensive than going through Pleoworld. Am I right or is it about the same?

To change your pleo from a girl to a boy you just need to install the update.  You can get this from Degers if you PM him.  You need to tell him which sex you want as the updates are gender specific and will change the gender of your pleo - if you have a girl and use the boy update then your pleo becomes a boy.

Norbit was once a girl (I didn't realise as I had no way of checking the sex back then and the profile thing on pleoworld didn't work yet), then got the update and became a boy, then went to Hong Kong and got new skin and they updated him again while he was there and now he is a girl again! :o :-X :)
I will change him back into a boy eventually.  I'm just going to wait till the updates are officially released on Pleoworld.  That way I will get the finished product update.  I'm in no rush. :)

As for the price between Gimmedigi and pleoworld I'm not sure how much of a saving there is now.  They were cheeper a few months ago but not by much.  I'm not sure what the difference in shipping would be between them too but it is something to keep in mind.

True. Thanks, Kat. In my haste I forgot about shipping. Lol! I'm going to try and sit on my hands and wait a bit before my next RB purchase. If Pleoworld ends up looking like a better deal I'll go there. I'm just not sure yet. I think I'm going to wait for the final release of the software. Ryu is working fine on the current version and I'm not sure what the new version offers us. She already goes into packing position at shut down.

So sorry to post twice but I have an update and it is much more on topic. I reset Ryu's noon clock yesterday and she woke me up at eight on the dot this morning. I was the one sleepping in this time!
