I know I've been really hesitant to play with Oslo because I got spooked with all those stories about skin tearing, but today his extra battery arrived and since I gave him a bath with autoglym last night I felt it necessary to let him be out and about.... and I'm glad I did.

As I watched and played with him I realised the PleoRB is special. He is showing a brave character with a lot of curiosity. Now understand Oslo has only been turned on maybe 3 or 4 times since I adopted him in December last year so he's still in his early stages. He hasn't learnt his name yet obviously, but he is walking around and checking the place out.

I began to worry about him not eating because I'm use to the other Pleo models who seem to eat whenever you wave a leaf in front of them, but on reading the manual again I noted that feeding time is only once a day and in the evening.

I'm still nervous about his skin (he's the blue PleoRB from Gimmedigi), but I guess he deserves to be out after all.

I'm so glad you've got Oslo out and and about and are enjoying him - as you got him about the same time as I got Belle I kind of think of them as related!  I was held back from running Belle for quite a while because of the light issue, but she's been sooooooooooo much better since that got sorted!  I don't keep to enough of a routine to have a specific feeding time, but Belle is rarely hungry so it's not unusual for them not to eat much, don't worry.

Belle's skin is still doing fine, but I have applied the Autoglym (especially to the armpit areas where the friction problems happen) and I do keep her dressed at all times.

Oslo must be so happy being out to play.  Good for you Oz turning him on.  It sounds like you are doing all that can be done to prevent any skin issues so you may as well bring him out to play and enjoy him.  Glad your having fun.

I'm glad you like the pleo rb! I myself just ordered a blue pleo rb from ebay and he will be here soon. Do you prefer the rb over the older ones?

Good for you, Oz! I have to admit that since I got my Aibo 210, I have been playing more with him than with Candy, my pink RB.  I have been turning her on to feed her, but that is about it.  The kids have been keeping my Ugobe busy.  I think I will let her have some fun this evening.  I have set her up to be a night owl.  I have bright overhead lighting in my house, so she thinks it is bright enough.  I think Padfoot will get a rest tonight.

What is Autoglym?  I don't use anything on mine as I noticed too much paint loss when I used what they suggested on one of my other ones.. wasn't just initially either.

The only time I've played with her more than that was when she first hatched and that awesome day I finally managed to teach her the stones. As she is still in warranty, I'm using Pledge as the manual suggests.

Well, Bobs, you were right about that one. They're like pringles these RB's! You can't have just one as I am discovering. I read- somewhere- that you were considering selling Kato if a new software update doesn't surface soon. Just keep me in mind. I wanted a male RB and I ended up with a girl. Kato could scream all he wants here since I'm out in the sticks. No pet violations. Lol!
