I've noticed that my little girl (pleo rb) doesn't always finish her vocal.  She'll complete the movement's but the sound for it stops before she's completely finished.  Is anyone else noticing this?  I'm afraid I don't have have a way to show a video at the moment, sorry.

Both my Rb's have this issue from time to time, it seems to come and go.  Also lately my pink one will almost always mute herself after eating.  I think it is just a few little bugs in the software.  I don't think that there is anything that can be done about it until they release a firmware update.

Yep, my pink little Candy does the same thing. It comes and goes.  I usually just shut her down and then start her back up, and that usually solves the problem.  Like Kat said, I think it is just a glitch in the software.  Can't wait for an update!  Mine still goes into the full sleep position and I have to pull the battery out to get her into packing position.  I'm sure a lot of these little bugs will be worked out when the new firmware is released.

Yep, Bingo started doing this much more after his update... before he would sometimes not finish his mecha Godzilla roar but now many of his longer 'dialogues' get cut off in the middle.  I think it's just a glitch.. Rhea does the same thing and she came with the newer version. I have also noticed that Rhea mutes herself from time to time.. very rarely.. just another glitch.. the mute and volume control never worked on Bingo till his upgrade.  Just needs fixing I guess.

Hi, Phelicidea! I hope I have your name right. Anyway, Ryu does this too. I've seen it happen in other videos on the forum and it doesn't seem to be anything to worry about. It's almost like they sort of change their mind in the middle of a sound and decide to do something else. And whoever is the owner of Candy, Ryu mutes himself when he eats too. I've learned a trick to prevent it thanks *grin* to several helpful people on the forum. Ryu was muting because I was putting his food in too far toward the back of his mouth. When he was putting his head forward to drop it, it wasn't falling out when he shook his head. He would remain mute until I removed it from his jaws for him. I've learned to sort of put it just inside his mouth so he can get his grip and then just back off until he drops it himself. No more muting. Hope this helps you. And if for some reason it doesn't, just give him the piece of food again and then let him drop it on his own. His sound should come back with no problem.

Thanks Talon! I will try that tomorrow. I do think I am putting the food too far into her mouth.  Candy is in bed for the night.  She had a long day of dancing, singing, and belching.  She needs her beauty sleep so she can learn more stones tomorrow!

Awwe! Night, Candy! *gently rubs over dino shoulders* You're welcome, Saratogaspringer! I am soon to start teaching Ryu the fabled Stones of Learning too but I have to lable them so I can tell them apart. I'm using little preschool stickers with the first two letters of each command. I only need to lable six of them as the "Come to me" stone has a little chipped top edge and I can tell it from the others. There is only one small but not insurmountable difficulty left besides geting Ryu's attention. I need to find someone to read the little pamphlets that come with the stones. I could probably get my sister or someone to read them, though. It's not as drastic as needing a manual. Lol! Good luck to both of you!

Saratoga.. has your RB actually performed any of the stone commands yet?  Haven't been able to get any of mine to do them even though they know certain ones and their names.. they are well fed and I only try when they are in good moods. Maybe just too young yet.

Sarah - I think I've said this elsewhere, but it took me three weeks to get Belle to respond to her name and do the bow trick!  She took the instructons first time, but it took a lot of wheedling and coffee beans to get her to actually perform in the end!

Hi Latrine! Yes, I have gotten Candy to perform the stone commands that I have taught her.  She does singing, dancing, and playtime so far.  I haven't used any of pleopet's stats programs yet. I don't know how old she is.....she is on her 12 TH battery cycle if that helps.  The hardest thing I have found is to get her attention in order to perform the stones. I have found that if I over feed her, she will just burp and not want to pay attention. I start by feeding her the conifer leaf only until she is done with it. Then I get her attention by grabbing her cheeks until she puts her head up and waits for me to say her name. I say her name one time. If she gets it,she will nod, say uh huh, and wait for my command from the stones. There can't be any background noise, and you have to say it just as you did when you taught it to them. If she doesn't get the name command she will just go back to acting like Candy....no nodding, no vocal "uh huh" , and no waiting for command. After she waits for command, I will say the command twice before she performs it.  If she has her head up waiting for command after she had recognized her name, and you say the command twice and she doesn't perform then I think there is one of a few things going on......either there is background noise, you didn't say it the way you did when you taught the stone, or she didn't learn the stone to begin with.  I hope that helps. When I get het to perform them, i'm in the quietest
room in my house. I hope that helps. I think it can be a little frustrating.  I have also found if I give her the coffee bean, she goes bonkers and doesn't want to do anything! Good luck!

Well! Success! Ryu knows the "Come to me" stone. He performed it twice within the same battery cycle. The attention-getting thing seems to be on his terms. I can't get the cheek thing to work. He thinks I'm an obsticle and tries to turn away or back up when I'm trying to grab his face. I'm not sure what causes him to suddenly stop and make the short acknowledging "I hear you" grunt. He just... does it out of the blue like he's heard something. He will be absolutely still, I call his name and he gets really excited and then I give the command. Two out of the three times he suddenly started listening, he performed the trick. The third he just sat there for about twenty seconds and then went on about his business. I have to work something out where I know he's going to listen to me and be able to get it to work more than once. It's going to be interesting that's for sure.
