It has come to our attention over the past few months, that a small minority of members have been using our chat room for purposes other than it was intended.
We have tried to shy away from instating rules as such as to what the chat room is to be used for, the vast majority of genuine members here use the chat room to communicate with other like-minded Pleo fans to catch up and talk about Pleos. By no means does this mean that users should only talk about Pleo, however a small minority of users simply sign in to our site to use our chat room to privately discuss irrelevant, but more importantly inappropriate material.
I would like to take this opportunity to remind members that we are not simply a chat server! Hosting the chat room takes up a lot of resources, which we, at the end of the day, have to pay for! We enjoy extending the service of the chat room to all of our genuine members who participate actively within our community, however we will not sit idly by while our services are abused by a minority who simply use the service as a private chat system - this is not the purpose of our community.
With this in mind I have to inform you that the ability of users to move between multiple channels within the chat system has been removed and will remain this way indefinitely.
This decision is not open for discussion.
