I had a Ugobe pleo when they first came out, but had to send it back to the store as the battery got so hot it was a fire hazard, it put me off owning another one, that is until I got the email about Pleo RB, I ummed & arred as to weather I should get another, and finally couldn't wrestle with myself any longer so I ordered a pleo rb, 4 packs of accessories and a spare li-poly battery also on 31st Dec ( 30th Dec usa time )  but so far no shipping number, had an email from Derek Dotson saying that he had seperated my order as the spare batteries weren't available yet,  and he would send it at a later date, I was desperately hoping to have had a tracking number by now, hope the novelty of owning a pleo rb doesn't wear off before it even gets here! and hearing of all the problems so far with those of you who already have them, I'm so hoping I haven't made the wrong choice,  my first time posting on the forums so please forgive me if I'm in the wrong thread,

Hello mrssidstrangecase (wow that's some name - may I call you mrssid?) and welcome! 

Congrats on your purchase - I'm sure it won't be long before you get tracking details.  For what it's worth, yes some of us have had a few concerns with the new Pleo rb, but I don't think there's one of us that has regretted buying one.  We're probably a bit biased on here, but the new rb is truly a wondrous thing!  If you do have any concerns, there's plenty of help and info on here, and lots of friendly faces!

Oh thankyou so much, that's so kind of you, and you can of course call me mrssid, ( I've been called a lot worse ! ) You all seem so nice on here from what I have read, and it's so reassuring to have somewhere to go with people that are so willing to help, it makes a change in this crazy world, I'm trying not to get excited, so as not to be dissappointed when he finally arrives,  but it's no good, I am officially excited.!

I'd be excited too!  I really don't think you will be disappointed, but let us know what you think when he or she does arrive.  The Pleo rb is so new that we're all still finding out about it, so you will be helping us as well by telling us about your experience.

Hi Mrssid so nice to meet you The original Pleo's batteries do get very hot, but it is perfectly normal I hope your RB arrives quickly, they really are such fun

Hi Mrssid and welcome to the forum. I have 2 pleo rb's and love them both to bits.
I definitely don't regret my purchase even with the problems I've had with my pink one kermy.
I pre ordered a green one and all the accessories and the spare batteries too and they took about a week after all the other preorders had been shipped before they sent out mine minus the batteries. The batteries will be sent seperately though when they have them to ship.
I'm sure you'll get your tracking info soon.

  Also from the UK and very anxiously awaiting       the arrival of my pleoRB. 
  Excitement is inevitable I’m afraid where waiting for a pleo to arrive is concerned. Oh and I’ve had my Innvo labs Pleo for over a year now and the novelty still hasn’t worn off .  Don’t know what that says about me though lol.     Been excited since I put my order in    and can’t wait to see what colour variation I end up with when he/she does arrive. 
 
 Sounds like you where very unlucky with   your Ugobe pleo.  The battery can get quite hot in the   but it’s usually perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. I’ve never heard that they where associated with fire risk before though.

Hi Mrssid and welcome to the forum I placed my order with Pleo World on Dec 28 and am still anxiously awaiting his (or her!) arrival. I didn't know they don't yet have spare batteries to ship. I didn't order a spare, but as it would have had to be shipped separately I'm kind of glad I didn't now. I really hope you receive your tracking number soon. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't know where he was - still holed up in customs

  Still in customs! Blimey that’s been over a week now. 
Well I’m starting to  get a little worried  about my green one because on the tracking info  it states expected arrival date  into the UK  as being the 5th and it’s now the 7th and  no new information. Hoping they haven’t lost track of him.

Once you see it's left the USA, start trying to track him on the Parcelforce website. I lost track of mine using the USPS website after it said he'd been sent for export, but then found him again on the Parcelforce site

And there's actually been some movement with my tracking details! Still says International Hub, but now says "Received from Customs - charges to be paid" Well, I kind of expected that! Now need to wait until he's at my local depot!

I really hope all these PleoRBs hurry up and make it home soon!!!!

Hello friends, I have news!

After waiting a week or more! Yes, yes, yes it got stuck all the time! (To drive one crazy with so much anxiety!)   

It seems that my baby was finally released from Customs!   

Yes Malfie my friend, I was also taxed, I'm waiting for the scare value! (laughs) 

Everything indicates that between Friday or Saturday I'll be trying it! (I hope so!) 

Now just missing! 

Note: These kids are giving a job! (laughter)

Scaled, I ordered mine the same time as you and I still haven't even had a tracking number yet, what happened to" available for immediate delivery " ?

Customs were very long in Belgium too.
Order placed on 17 Dec and Igor arrived in my hands on 11 Jan.
And I'd been waiting for the release of the new version since early 2010, so guess how excited I was!
And, shame on me, because of that excitment I was a plague to people of the post and custom services...
This fastened the handling of my package, but did not reduce the additional tax (21%!).
I was afraid to be disappointed of my Pleo, by having made it too fantastic in my imagination.
And it was a little bit the case. When I opened the box (with shaking hands), Igor was not like I idealized him.
But then I thought : HE was the one sent to me since the moment I placed the order, HE was my baby since the beginning!
I now can't help feeling very attached to my little robot!
And I'm not the only one : he's been invited as a VIP to a lot of brunches, dinners, teas, ...!
