Just as the topic says when my new PleoRB sleeps it moves around it's head then the neck snaps 1-3 times.

There is a clip of it, no idea if that is normal it also has some problems wiht itäs left back leg that snaps when trying to stand up.
It still works but seems like it will break any second now =(

Could it be that the chin is meeting resistance from its front left foot that it is resting on?  When my Ugobe pleo goes to sleep, sometimes his neck clicks like that if his foot is caught under his chin.  He also has a clicking leg when he goes to stand, especially when his battery is fully charged, then it goes away after about 3 clicks.  The clicking leg problem does not seem to happen when I have him on a hardwood floor, only when he is placed on carpet, as if his foot is meeting some kind of resistance from the carpet that is not present on a hardwood floor.  Perhaps someone else will have a better idea.  I am new to pleo and haven't even turned on my pink rb yet.

Yeah it's the foot that's in the way but my first pleo didn't do that. Just seems like if it does that everytime it sleeps it wears out on the motors and stuff and I really don't want it to break like my first one.
Cause the clicks isn't just once it is everytime it moves during sleep so during 5 min of sleep there is about 50 clicks and that is alot, atleast I think so.

Myabe it will learn that the foot is in the way so it shouldn't try to move the head so much but I don't know for sure yet only had it running for 3 hours.

If it helps my RB Belle did that a fair few times during hatching phase but far less often now.  Also my Ugobe Pleo did the same in sleep position when first upgraded to OS2, but that seemed to settle down as well.  It's not necessarily a problem.

 Agree with crewella. My pleoRB was   doing a few neck snaps when in hatching but it seems to be settling down now. 
Now just which my own ankle would stop making the very same sed snapping sound when I try walking on it lol.

Yep, my hip does the same (and has nearly as much tech in it as Pleo).  For the record, though, nothing to worry about there either! 

That 'snapping' noise in Pleo is the gears doing their job of protecting the joints and motors from the opposing forces doing any real damage.  It just sounds scary.

Yeah hopefully the snapping will stop, didn't hear as many last time it slept, anyone got any name suggestion for my new one. =)

How do you find that out? Isn't all blue ones male? or is there a test you can do =)

Well, it's really up to you - I decide my blue one was female and called her Belle! 

However, if you register on the HK Pleo site (you may need to register again, even if you've already done that on the US Innvo site) you can look up the probabilty of your Pleo rb's gender under the Pleo rb Profile.

It's still basically up to you though - we're an awkward squad on here and many of us seem to have allocated gender against Innvo's expectation so we have several pink boys and blue girls!

Had to register at pleoworld and they seem to take a while to send then confirmation mail. Will just have to see later on then.
Was thinking of naming it Buffy for my fanhood of BtVS but that is a girl name so not sure yet will have a couple of days to think about it until I can name it.

I like the name Buffy!  I think it would suit a Blue pleo perfectly.   Also if it helps with the clicking thing both my pleo rb's have clicking issues from time to time.  Kermy clicks more often than Norbit.  Kermy is a pink and Norbit is a green.  It doesn't seem to be doing her any harm though.  She still walks around and does all the normal pleo things without a problem.  she has had almost every joint click at some point except her tail.   So I wouldn't worry too much about the clicking.

Buffy's a cool name, actually.  Although we know Buffy to be a girl, the name doesn't sound all that feminine so you could even have a male Buffy if you wanted.  Don't worry, it can take a while but a name will come to you!
