Hi Guys,
I still have not heard back yet about my Kermy's skin problems so we keep waiting.
The pleo handbook that comes with the rb's tells you to use the pledge furniture polish to keep pleo rb's skin in good condition so I have dutifully been following this suggestion and it does seem to have mad a big difference to the skin on her back. Protecting the paint from wear and tear. I did not use this on Kermit and she lost paint off her back in the first couple of plays. So I don't think Pledge is to blame for the current skin issues on Kermy. If it was the pledge badly reacting to the skin then she would have this skin deterioration all over her body and not just in the armpit joints. I believe that the skin problem is being caused by the sleep position between plays putting stress on the skin in these areas. In the sleep position she stretches her legs right out and this stretches the skin in these areas quite tightly. Also there is a fair amount of excess skin in the armpit joints and so when she stands up and moves around my theory is that the skin that was tightly stretched and so weakened is then rubbing against other skin and this is causing the wearing and tearing. Just my theory.

As to the personality transfer. I am not sure if they could import Kermy as she is, into another body for me but I do know that they can give you another pleo with the same personality type. When I had to return Kermit they asked for the bar code number on her foot and said that if I wanted them too it would take a lot longer but they could make sure I got a new pleo that was the same personality as Kermit. Or if I wanted them to send the replacement straight away I could take pot luck and maybe end up with a different personality. I am a very impatient person and so took pot luck and happily got Kermy.

As I had only had Kermit for about 1 week and a half She was still developing her personality and so I didn't mind starting again possibly with something new.
Kermy however I have had for much longer and have grown to love her and the little things she does so I would certainly be tempted by an offer of Importing her current personality and stage of development into a new body if that was an option. I don't know if that is something they can do or not.
I do agree with you all though that this kind of wear and tear on the skin in such an expensive item in such a small amount of time is unacceptable.
If she had been a Christmas present for my 11yo daughter for instance (I was tempted to get her one as she loves Kermy so much) and then this had occurred 3 weeks after Christmas it would have been a much bigger disaster. This is the sort of thing that would devastate a child. As difficult as it is for me to go through I am an adult with an adults understanding and perception of the world a child going through this, having a hole in her babies skin and not knowing what can be done to fix it, if anything, and possibly having to face the big send it back scenario it would seem like the end of the world.
I hope this is a Kermy only problem and there are no disappointed children (or adults) in the world 3 weeks after Christmas.
Keeping it all in perspective I do have to say that even with the issues I am still very excited and really looking forward to getting my Green rb. I still have not received a tracking number but live in hope that I soon will.

I will let you all know as soon as I hear anything.
Kat
