Kermy is lovely, I dont mind if my soon to be Pleo Rb does tricks right away, I just hope she or he will develop their personality as Nova, Major Tom, Little 45, ARgyle, and his un-named brother have without my interference, I don't want a Pleo that is like a trained puppy dog only doing tricks on command, as that to me seems more like a toy or computer toy than a orgnisim interacting with it's environment. I know you do not view Kermy that way, but I think some new owners who get Pleo rb may view Pleo rb ( if they have not had one of the older original Pleos ) as something that they can program to do tricks and respond only to them, like cute little parlor tricks to entertain at parties or to impress their friends.
I would much more prefer that Pleo develop her personality, or interact with my existing Pleos than learn to bow on command, I don't mean that it is bad to have that stone , but I don't think it is a vital thing for Pleo rb to learn, Unlike the name that I think is really important and much more like a real living breathing animal that will and can respond to one persons voice. But then again from what I have read here and elsewhere, Pleo has to be READY before it will do it. I like that it has to be ready, and won't just automatically do it like a real child has to develop with it's own timetable for walking, talking and their first words, etc.
I want to thank you again Kat for these past few weeks keeping the rest of us entertained and informed on what Pleo rb is capable and letting us share a part of Kermit and Kermys life with you. We have seen the good, the sad and even the injured Pleo rb, and all of these have ben informative learning experiences that are priceless and worth so much more than a explanation on paper. Good job and hopefully some green Pleo Rb will be presenting their own videos and photos with their experiences that you can benifit from as well.
