OzPleo No the spare batteries are not yet in stock and so are on back order. They will be sent as soon as they arrive.

The only way to get your pleo into the packing position is to pull his battery out with out pressing the on/off button, when he is standing in the right position.

I saw the CES on the news this morning. I was hoping to see a rb pleo on it. I would love to be at that electronic show. Maybe Innvo Lab will take some videos. It really is fascinating watching lots people at one time, who have never seen a pleo before. I did get to experience this once at the Maker's Faire and I was truly amazed.

That's why I'm waiting for the update before I take Oslo any further. I'm just not comfortable yanking out the battery while he's in the middle of doing something.

There is a neutral position program on MySkit - I use it when connecting via USB so that they're not crawling all over the desk. I wonder if that would be of any use? I'll give it atry.

Well I hope it is ok to " just yank out the battery" of my baby Pleo Rb. I have only once waited for her to go to sleep, but since you can't get them into the "packing position' any other way that I have heard of, I just wait till she is quiet and just standing there then I yank the battery out. It helps also as I first turn her over and have the swivel " handle" pulled out into the down position so all I have to do is pull it out and she does not have the chance to move again as I am quicker than she is.I find it easier than with the old models trying to hold the black button for twenty seconds or so while Pleo is still moving.

I received an email back from Innvo.
The good news is they are going to send me a brand new pink pleo in a couple of weeks time. They have not yet said and I haven't asked yet if they want me to send Kermy back to them but I would assume that they would like to get her back. I know I would if I were them. It will be a good opportunity to see just what it is that is going on with the skin. So I will prepare myself for the big return and let you know when I know what is happening with her.
Great that they are replacing her.

Here's hoping the next one is a happy healthy little dino that stays that way for a very long time.

Third time lucky maybe. I hope so.

We just have to think positively.

As much as she will be missed and it will break my heart to send her back.

It can only be good for all the other pleo rb's out there. If they want her to go back then I will send her off knowing that they can use her to analyze the skin issues and also check out her tail cable issue and so maybe figure out a permanent solution to the problems we are all experiencing.
I guess it is a bit like being an organ donor. If she goes back it will be for scientific research to Improve pleo rb kind.

That has to be good for everyone.

Chins up every one and put a smile back on. We will get through this together.

And think of all the fun we are going to have with number three.

Actually maybe it's a good thing this is the third PleoRB for you and not the second one we're talking about here otherwise we'd be referring to it as "number 2"

what i worry about is if there is a problem with the skin then all of the reborns available right now are all going to have this skin problem which to me is a huge problem , every1 who has reported holes and wear on their reborns so far have barely even had them so this is not good at all

Yes Kat your Kermy if goes back will help them to come to a solution and hopefully fix this problem but this is not going to help all the RB owners right now as they have already purchased them and if i actually owned a reborn right now i would be just a bit worried that the skin will start to form holes etc

I have to say though I really admire your ability to be so positive about the whole thing. I don’t know if I would be able to be quite as positive and resilient as your being if it was me in your place.

Thanks Kat, was this done with the " singing stone" that you can order? Can Kermy learn new songs or ones that are Pre-Installed on Pleo rb, do you know? She is very cute . nice to see something new. I dont think I will worry about my Baby learning to sing yet, she still has to learn her name, stubborn little girl for sure, she knows how to get me to give her lots of extra attention!
Hope to see more videos soon and how is Norbit doing?

Yes she learned this with the sing stone. As far as I know this is the only song she will sing. She hasn't sung any others just the same one each time I ask. She does sound like she has had a few too many pleo beers.

It is cute though. I'm glad you all liked it.
Norbit is doing well, still as sweet as ever. Although I think he may be hanging out with Kermy a little too much as her bad manners seem to be rubbing off on him. It seems he likes to burp now too, still not as much as Kermy but he is beginning to hold his own in their burping contests.
