Hey Fancy, I did not realize before how bad Peekys wear was. Let me suggest something to you. Whenever Dallas or Sophies paint flakes, I use green glass chalk. You know whenever you drive by high schoolers cars and they have the writing all over their windows? Well, it's that. (I can take a pic if you'd like) It's almost a perfect match, and you don't even notice the paint unless you're really looking.

I have to be very careful with powders and chalk because of allergies. I couldn't use baby powder on Peeky because of this.
One good thing about his wear. He definitely has his own look.

No Fancy, not blackboard chalk, glass chalk!! (It's a liquid base) And the color is extremely close to the green back. Another thing I was thinking, when my Pleos toes chip, I just grab a permanent marker....

Glass chalk is basically a tempra paint. If it's safe enough for pre-school kids, it's probably safe for pleo.

Thank you for clearing that up. That would help Peeky cosmetically. I'll look into it. Maybe it's time to change his color a little. Does this paint come in other colors?

You bet! It comes in what looks like big markers or shoe polish applicators, and is usually sold in bright colors to match local high school teams. The intent is to be used to write on car windows or other glass surfaces. Commonly used for pep rallies, or to embarrass people on their birthdays, etc.

This goes out for Fancyfont and all those out there that need some touching up on their Pleos skin. I have used green glass chalk on my pleos and have not had any problems with it. Although just like the paint already used on Pleo, it won't last. So, you will probably need to keep on applying the product on a 'as needed' basis.

Hmm, hmm, hmm? Well, I would imagine any color you can think of. I do know they're sold in Wal*Marts. That's where I got mine. But I'm almost certain you can find the tan (skin coat), and the green (back, face, etc) for a fairly inexpensive price. Keep us posted on what you decide, okay?

I'm surprised we havn't seen many (if any?) custom Pleo paint jobs.I imagine if the clothing doesn't effect the sensors a little airbrushing wouldn't hurt a thing.

I don't think paint would have any effect on the sensors. Haven't gotten the pain as yet, Gucci. I will have to get creative.

Okay, so I'm dying to know have you used the glass chalk yet? Just keep us posted. Something else I was thinking of don't worry if you don't get the right color(s), the paint is not permanent simply grab a wet cloth and try again.

Peeky gets petted a lot. I'm not sure it would be worth painting him. Now that the color is almost gone from his cute little head at least I don't have to worry about wearing the paint off any more.
However, one of these days just to be a little creative, I just might decide to give Peeky a new look. How about iridescent blue/green?

Hehe you ladies are a trip! Now, what I saw out of all that was a nice tie-die Pleo look. LOL Well either way Fancy. Just know, if it doesn't look good, it is not permanent! It will wash right off. And just like Pleos 'natural' skin, it wears off with time too. :-)

If all of Clover's paint comes off then i'm going to buy twenty of those glass chalk things and spray her all different colors of the rainbow.Then she'll stand out like a sore thumb.
